I am trying to make a decent list of 24 hour/late night restaurants in the Seattle/Lynnwood area. There are the obvious (Denny's, Dick's, Shari's etc) but we grow weary... [more inside]

I'm looking for hash browns around Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. You know, grated potatoes, all fried up, greasy and good. All I can find here are home fries, which won't cut it. Extra points for places that serve breakfast on weekdays. Thanks!

Does anyone know of a restaurant (in Israel, I believe), where people act as if they are eating, the waiters as if they are serving, the ambience is set up as if it were a real restaurant, and there is a real tab -- but there is neither real food nor beverage to be found anywhere?

More Atlanta: I moved to Atlanta from Boston 3 months ago. My parents are flying in from NH tonight and this will be their first time below the Mason Dixon line. I'm looking for recommendations on good lunch and dinner restaurants to entertain them at. [more inside]

Since become borderline obsessed with Anthony Bourdain, the idea (not that I would ever get there mind you) of going to one of the high end restaurants that he has visited (namely el Bulli or The French Laundry) and have wondered, just how much would dinner run?

At P.F. Chang's, our waiter didn't write any portion of my family's order down (party of six.) This seemed to be the custom at this particular location, but I don't understand why. Do restaurant managers specifically instruct their wait staff not to write the order down? Why? Is it considered more personal and attentive? [more inside]

I'm trying to put together a restaurant guide for an academic meeting being held in Los Angeles' Universal City. Aside from the (mediocre) places along the nearby Citywalk, can folks recommend interesting / funky / neat / fancy and other types of worthwhile places to eat within a short taxi ride, drive or public transportation trip (from the Universal City metro station)?

North-of-Minneapolitans: I want to get a gift certificate for my bro/sis-in-law for a restaurant where they can get away from the kids and have a good, longish meal. I want the place to be somewhere conducive to conversation rather than shouting over crowds/jukeboxes, but they're not diners who will be wowed by a great wine list. They live in North Branch
(which shows up on that map as "Branch") and I'd like to find places within a half-hour. Suggestions?.
