Please recommend romantic restaurants/cafes in Boston/Cambridge. I'd like to hear about anything you feel is exceptional and possibly off the beaten path.

I'm looking for a good restaurant near Rochester NY where we can go for Thanksgiving dinner. I can't see us cooking for hours when there's only going to be four of us this year.
My wife is going to want to eat a traditional turkey dinner, although I wouldn't mind eating a steak if I can get one.

The folks over at Evil Mad Scientist Labs
made a pretty comprehensive wallet-sized cheat sheet
to help the uninitiated navigate Southern Indian menu items. I think it's well done, useful, and quite clever. I'd like to have something similar for all the world's cuisines. [more inside]

Looking for a BYOB (bring your own beer) restaurant in Charlotte, NC. I have searched AskMeFi for Charlotte eateries so I have a few ideas, but no mention of BYOB. This is for a bachelor party and the groom would prefer a BBQ joint but is open to other suggestions. Thanks.

My parents are celebrating their 10th anniversary in Quebec City. They are staying in Sainte-Foy, on Hochelaga Blvd. I want to get them a gift certificate for a nice but not too fancy restaurant; nice enough so it's special, but not over-the-top, five-star nice. I want $200 to cover it. Thoughts? Thanks!

I just moved to Philly and I want to know what some of the best places to eat around town are. I've checked Philly Magazine, but a lot of those restaurants seem to be upscale and out of my price range. What are some affordable, good places that I should check out? I'm interested in all varieties of food, so any suggestions are welcome.

So I'm 6 hours into my 4 month stay in San Francisco and I need recommendations for places to while away the hours. I'm staying in Nob Hill. Can anyone recommend low-key (and inexpensive) pubs, restaurants, etc that are easily accessible from here? FWIW, I moved here from Carroll Gardens/Boerum Hill in Brooklyn - so that's the kind of environment I'm accustomed to. Many thanks!

If you are a waitress, can you deduct from your taxes the amount that your restaurant requires you to tip-out to your bussers? (In my case, this generally amounts to $8-$15 for every shift I work.) [more inside]

I am hunting for two specific restaurants in Denver and Centennial, both based on vague clues from well-intentioned acquaintances.
1: Someone said not to miss a "Mexican Jazz place"? Not Casa Bonita, I think.
2. Around I-25 in Centennial(?): Something pronounced "Ruby Doo's", though I suspect it's something like Rubidoux? [more inside]

I have a 30th birthday coming up in NYC and I'm trying to think of some fun restaurants, places to go (i.e. bowling, paintball, karaoke), and or things to do.
I'd like for a group of us to be able to eat and do something (like bowl) at the same time then we'd all go out to a bar afterward.
Anyone have any fun restaurant or party place suggestions in NYC?
btw, not interested in bowling or karaoke suggestions

Give me your best mid range to upscale restaurant in Charlotte, either Uptown or accessible by the new Light rail.
Atmosphere (three late 20s professionals going, so not romantic), crowd, great, interesting food are the criteria. Probably looking something 'hip' and loud.
