Looking for Phoenix restaurant recommendations with good vegetarian options... [more inside]
Just got a new gig, and want to take some potential clients to a nice lunch after a facility tour. The new gig is in Burbank, and in my experience cuisine in Burbank is limited to Frontier Wok, chain restaurants and Ikea meatballs. Please help me with suggestions of good Burbank and Burbank-adjacent restaurants for client lunches. Bonus points for healthy places where fitness-oriented clients can feel at home.
My family just moved to Tippecanoe County in Indiana, and we're baffled by the seemingly arbitrary rules that dictate when babies are and are not allowed in bars and restaurants. [more inside]
In the next few weeks, I will need to attend a series of late-running formal dinners... with a five-year-old in tow. Please recommend your most magical, engrossing, dinner-table-friendly activity books, games, small toys, etc. for the early school-aged set, so we can keep her quietly in her seat and out of everyone's hair. We are going to NYC for work reasons and will be spending most of the days on our feet all day at the Javits Center in Manhattan. We are staying on W. 24th St. /7th Ave., and I don't think we will have the energy to go far afield to eat dinner much, so we are looking for recommendations for dinner places in the area. Around Javits is pretty much a desert I think?, but maybe nearish where we are staying has some options? We like and eat pretty much anything, from dives (if the food is great) to ethnic and fine dining. (Things we dislike: having to dress up/suit and tie level to eat, and places that may seat you at bad tables if you are a bit overweight/not appearing cutting edge in fashion.)
I moved to DC recently-ish, but haven't explored the restaurant scene very well. Now I have a friend coming to town next week, staying right near the Dupont Circle Metro station, and I could use some recommendations for places to eat. Can any locals help me out? [more inside]

I'm looking for good dining out options for treating a friend to brunch, around 11:00am on December 25, in the general vicinity of Torrance, CA (or between Torrance and LAX). I'm sure there's tons of good places, but I need someplace that'll be open Christmas morning. Know of any?
NYC restaurant filter: Taking an elderly, out-of-town couple (that we don't know well) out to dinner. We'd like to take them somewhere reasonably nice (cost not a concern), but we do know that they prefer plainer foods that are easy on the digestive system. Manhattan required, midtown preferred. A little extra detail inside. [more inside]
Where in Charlotte, NC, should I take my mom for her 70th birthday? [more inside]
Yet another Chicago restaurant suggestion needed: 5 adults, 2 of whom's flight is coming in this evening and we want to give them a special "Chicago" experience. Preferably in the Loop? I live in Rogers Park and we don't want to have to go running all over the city. We will probably go straight from the airport to the restaurant. I'm also looking for a nice place to have brunch tomorrow near the Palace theater downtown. Have any thoughts? [more inside]

Does anyone know of a restaurant (in Israel, I believe), where people act as if they are eating, the waiters as if they are serving, the ambience is set up as if it were a real restaurant, and there is a real tab -- but there is neither real food nor beverage to be found anywhere?

I'm trying to put together a restaurant guide for an academic meeting being held in Los Angeles' Universal City. Aside from the (mediocre) places along the nearby Citywalk, can folks recommend interesting / funky / neat / fancy and other types of worthwhile places to eat within a short taxi ride, drive or public transportation trip (from the Universal City metro station)?
I'm in Paris until Monday, and I want recommendations on restaurants, etc. [more inside]
