Fancy Vegetarian restaurants in Ottawa?

Hey all, I'm looking for a fancy, expensive, special occasion type restaurant in Ottawa that has more than one Vegetarian entree on the menu. I'm taking my vegetarian girlfriend out for our anniversary and am having trouble finding any "fine dining" type places that have some veggie items on the menu. She is strict vegetarian so fish is out. Italian is always an option but I was hoping the hive mind could come up with some other ideas.

Tipping when waitstaff get paid minimum wage

As a result of my family, I've been a fairly mindful tipper for restaurants/bars/etc. involving service and have adjusted the percentage I tip based on what's considered the norm irrespective of quality of service (now, doubling tax which is close to 10% in CA and rounding up). I ran across minimum wages for tipped employees as a result of an argument with a cheap tipper and discovered that in CA waitstaff is paid at least minimum wage ($8, and higher in SF) without tip credit. I've looked at previous AskMes about dealing with bad tippers, contextual tipping, and others. Knowing that tipping in CA no longer goes toward maintaining basic wages, (based on size/# of staff, i.e. tip out), would it be socially acceptable to move toward a quality-based criteria for the value of the tip, and what would you consider an appropriate minimum assuming a properly run restaurant where employees are getting paid on-time and full salaries? Feel free to correct me if I've misunderstood anything.

Old Port for the Family

Visiting Old Port section of Portland, ME and looking for a nice restaurant for a family with kids aged 10 & 12. Would like something nicer than a chain with burgers (though it's great if they are on the menu) and pizza, but not as high end Caiola's (pate and goat cheese won't go over well with the kids). We are hoping for a nice sit down, local beer and ambiance would be great. We are staying at the Portland Regency Hotel and would prefer something within walking distance. Oh we are definitely going to Bintliff's for breakfast on Sunday.

What is this buffalo burger joint?

I'm trying to figure out the name of a restaurant (burger joint) that is probably within 100 miles of some edge of Yellowstone National Park. What I remember: it served buffalo burgers, and had an alliterative name with a woman's name and some sort of negative adjective. That adjective may have been "horrible," i'm more certain that it started with the letter "h." I seem to remember some piece of lore about the owner or maybe the owner's son being a chainsmoker. Google fails me. Help!
