	<title>I need sleep.</title>

	<description>How can I make my office more comfortable so that I can take naps over lunch? From time to time, I battle insomnia. This necessitates me having to take a nap over lunch. I know this isn&apos;t the best way to deal with it, but please humor me.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Here is my setup: I have my own office with a closing door. I have an L-shaped desk and a reclining office chair. There is ample floor space.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
I need to figure out a way to make my power naps work for me. I also can&apos;t have anything too obvious, so cots and the like are out. I&apos;ve heard of people suggesting yoga mats and the like, but I want to hear from others who are able to sleep at the office.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
What sorts of things should I have that allow me to sleep well for that one hour in the middle of the day?</description>

	<title>I want to shut down.</title>

	<description>Work stress is killing me. Help me get my mind off work when I&apos;m not at work? The long explanation: I&apos;ve been having stomach pain for a couple of weeks and I just found out that it was hyperacidity due to stress. Even if I have no reason to be stressed, I can&apos;t help not sleeping at night and twisting and turning over this new job, wanting everything to be absolutely perfect. I&apos;ve been given a lot of responsibility from the get-go and I really don&apos;t want to screw this up.&lt;br&gt;
Granted, it&apos;s my first job, in a field I like, my boss isn&apos;t a jerk, I get challenged a lot, and I want to do really well. I&apos;m also a bit underqualified (but I have help) and inexperienced (which is probably the root cause of all this stressing) -- anyway I like this job, but when I get home, I just want to turn my brain off as much as possible.&lt;br&gt;
Also, I&apos;m trying not to stress about it too much, I realize it&apos;s not worth it, I&apos;ll still survive, there&apos;ll be better jobs. But it doesn&apos;t work. For some reason I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about work. I&apos;m not even a month into my new job yet, maybe this is just something I really have to get used to.</description>

	<title>Good weight training rest day activities</title>

	<description>WeightliftingFilter: Good Activities for rest days between working out? I recently got back into the swing of working out, mostly by forcing myself to do *some* sort of exercise every single day for the last couple of weeks.  This has been working really well (if we&apos;re measuring how well I&apos;m sticking to it).&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
This has gradually morphed due to schedule reasons into a 4 day weight training workout (Sun,Mon,Thu,Fri) with the other days being relatively light (mostly cardio, like running up stairs for a few minutes, etc).  Still, I know from experience that if I actually stop exercising on those days, I&apos;m eventually going to start adding another rest day when I&apos;m tired or busy or lazy, and then I&apos;ll be working out once every 2 weeks.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
So!&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
What are good rest-day activities that are actually beneficial in some manner, and don&apos;t mess up my main goal of adding muscle mass?  &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Side notes:  Doing all of these workouts *at home* with dumbbells, a swiss ball and a mat.  Have access to 6 stories of stairs, some street for running, and my apartment.  No time or money for gym or exercises classes.  If cardiac is suggested, bonus points for exercises that are kind to joints (my knees can be somewhat sensitive, but I&apos;m hoping they will get stronger and more resistant to damage as this progreses).</description>

	<title>Is a day of rest good for productivity?</title>

	<title>Applying Mentzer&apos;s HIT for upperbody only</title>

	<description>I just want to build upper body with Mentzer&apos;s HIT approach, can someone with experience with HIT tell me if I&apos;m getting enough rest? (Details inside) Mike Mentzer&apos;s HIT approach basically requires 6 or more days recovery between workouts:&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
1. Chest and back&lt;br&gt;
2. Legs A&lt;br&gt;
3. Shoulders and arms&lt;br&gt;
4. Legs B&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
So the workout cycle would last 3-4 weeks. My goal is upper body development (I do however perform squats on Shoulder/Arm day). If I only do 1. and 3. alternating every 7 days, obviously this means less rest between working upper body. However after 7 days I feel 100%. Is this still good for growth or should I rest longer?&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Additional info: I&apos;m around 150lbs, taking protein (100-150g), fish oil and multivitamins daily.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Additional question :) I know Mentzer stressed the importance on a balanced diet of LOW protein and high Carbs in one of his books... from those who tried HIT successfully do you think he could be wrong about this?</description>

	<description>I&apos;m taking a week off from working out to break a plateau. Should I dial down my eating as well or maintain my workout-level intake? I don&apos;t necessarily think this needs [more inside], but I suppose I&apos;ll add some context anyway. 30, male, 5&apos;10, 175, fairly lean (I&apos;d guess around 10% body fat), extremely active. I lift 4-5 times a week, bike everywhere (Boston), run an additional 1-2 times a week (6-8 miles each).&lt;br&gt;

I&apos;m leaning up for this year&apos;s Black Rock City endurance test, but I&apos;ve hit the damn plateau just three weeks before Playa time. I&apos;ve been getting my body primed and ready for two weeks in the desert, but I&apos;m afraid I need to take a week off to cool my jets, as I&apos;ve been training fairly intensely since last November and I just can&apos;t seem to get past a certain point over the last few weeks.&lt;br&gt;

Dietarily speaking, I&apos;ve been hitting the protein shakes daily for as long as I can remember; piling on the lean meats and the raw fruits and veggies; and allowing myself some wiggle room with snacks (granola bars, hard-boiled eggs, and the odd fistful of baker&apos;s chocolate in my weaker moments). In general, I&apos;m probably diligent to a fault in strategizing my food intake.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
It may seem like an easy question (possibly covered before, so blame my Google-fu), but should I adjust my eating accordingly if I&apos;m going to cut out the exercise? I&apos;ve always &quot;worked out to eat,&quot; and I need some guidance on how to adjust. Do I keep up the high-volume eating in order to facilitate muscle repair? Should I tweak my caloric intake if I&apos;m doing nothing more than the requisite amount of exercise to get around town? Your thoughts to the green mailbag, MeFites...</description>

	<title>Living on very little sleep</title>

I believe I&apos;ve got the basics down. URIs describe resources. To create something, you POST (XML-formatted) data to a resource&apos;s URI. To update it, you PUT data. To delete, DELETE. And to display something, you GET. Ok, cool.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Who or what exactly can &lt;em&gt;use&lt;/em&gt; a RESTful interface? If make a database application, and I want to update a record, how to I PUT something to it? I can&apos;t use my web browser--it only supports GET and POST. What can I use to PUT or DELETE something, or must I lobby another resource to PUT or DELETE it on my behalf?</description>

	<description>I want to travel to Sanibel or Captiva Islands - I am looking for accommodation, but I find it very hard to make a decision based exclusively on online research. I would welcome any advice on where to stay. 

I am not very fond of big chain hotels like Holiday Inn&apos;s etc.... I much prefer small motels or self-catered cabins, but I am afraid to book a shabby place because online everything looks pristine..... so, ideally I would love to find a small motel or cabin by the sea, in a quiet part of town. Another thing to consider is that I am traveling with my parents and our baby, therefore I am looking for places that have a apt-like layout, with ideally the choice of one or two bedrooms and a kitchenette. 

Any advice on this and other must-see, must-eat, must-do attractions would be greatly appreciated.
