I am trying to upgrade my computer (Intel DP55WG motherboard, Windows 7 64 bit) from two ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6950 video cards to two Radeon HD 7970 cards. When I install either of the 7970 cards along with any other card (the other 7970 or either of my 6950s), only one card is able to start in Windows. The other card does not provide video output, and it has an exclamation icon in the device manager with the text "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. (Code 12)" Do you have any idea why this is happening or how I might be able to fix it? More details and a list of things I have already tried inside.

I'm working with a group of kids to help them learn the very basics of GameMaker. I'm looking for libraries of sprites, backgrounds, and sounds to help them in the creation process. Are there ready-made libraries for educators out there. If I have to cobble it together on my own, what are good places to get the basics for making simple 2-dimensional games? Also: are there any good premade game templates (shooter, platformer, puzzle games) that we can use to get their ideas down? We're more interested in the story-telling process of game creation, and not so much the learning to program part.

I've started to date again after the end of an eight year relationship. The good news is I've met an amazing woman and we're starting to develop a more serious relationship. The part I (male) need help with is that it turns out she was physically, sexually, mentally, and emotionally abused in several previous relationships over the course of about 15 years. How do I support her as a new relationship partner? Can you recommend any good resources for me to read?

Though I've been working with web development since the 90's, I have a hands-on knowledge gap when it comes to internet marketing techniques like SEO, Adwords, analytics and the like. What are the best sources, free or paid, to learn more? I've been looking around for good resources, but it looks like this field is dominated by crooks. Any recommendations of books and sites written by reputable professionals is appreciated. I'm also a big fan of video lectures, if you know of any.

Hello, hive mind. I have a dear friend who recently left an abusive marriage. Although she's working two jobs, she barely makes ends meet and may need EFT/SNAP and housing assistance. I've pulled together resources from the official website of the CT Dept. of Social Services, but cannot seem to find local, low-cost counseling services. Southern CT State University used to offer clinical counseling as part of their graduate program for the public, but I cannot find it. Any resources for low-cost counseling would be great. As stated, this is a dear friend of mine and I'll do anything to help - even though I'm across the country in CA.

I vaguely remember reading an argument that in some situations, giving birth to a kid or two rather than adopting is not particularly worse (perhaps environmentally, or in terms of effects on population growth, or resource consumption, or something along those lines--the big picture/the global future.) Yes, I realize this sounds counterintuitive, but can anyone point me to such an argument?

What makes for a good elementary school newspaper? What makes a
great one? I'd like to know what parents appreciate (and what they'll actually read). I'd like to know what you liked best when you were a student, either from a contributing or reading standpoint.
I'd like to know from school employees/authorities what one needs to be mindful of. And I'd be very glad to know of what I can do to avoid any problems. I'd like to know from teachers about what school newspapers can do for students; and what one could reasonably ask for from the various grades to allow for students to make contributions and so the content is balanced for all ages. I'd love to see links to anything inspiring, and to ideas for content and design and such. So, I'd like a lot of information about stuff I have an idea about, but not much practice with yet. And that's a lot to do with three double-sided pages, I know.

Who is the artist/photographer whose work deals with issues of resources, population, human consumption, etc.?
For example, I remember a giant photo/collage that looks like lots of colored boxes from far off, and then up close it is revealed to be made up of freight containers that represent the amount of some type of goods used by the US in a certain period of time, or something like that.
