Resources for trans-adjacent folks?

Academic library milestone event: what could it include?

My friend works in a US university library. They are trying to design a major event, basically a milestone/anniversary, and are trying to come up with ideas. The "anniversary task force" have so far come up with a flash mob, but this seems perhaps a little 2013(?) and cliched. They are ideally looking for contemporary things that are not hugely expensive or difficult to organize, and have little risk of incident, hassle or legal problems. Bonus if they are things that can be recorded for posterity and used in future library publicity.

What are your best GO TO resources as a gifted teacher?

I'm blessed to teach the GTD program in a well-resourced and supportive district. I have some budget funds left over for the year, and I'm really at a loss for how to spend it. I have the general materials I need to get through the year and into next year, so I'm looking for great resources, particularly ones based in project-based learning and/or common core instruction. I love teachers pay teachers as both a contributor but mostly a shopper. If it helps, I provide direct pull-out instruction to 3-5 graders in LA and math as well as more informal push-in instruction to K-2 classes, where I like to focus on critical thinking skills rather than a set content area.

I have an encyclopedia, not a story: what to do?

Authors Of AskMe, has this happened to you? During my self-imposed creative hiatus over the last year or so I conducted a lot of research into what would be my dream project. A project I could be passionate about, the kind of book I'd really want to exist. So I made a list of every thing, character, concept, idea, sudden kind of twist I'd like. I have three notebooks of this stuff. I cross-indexed it and included all my references. I have an astounding about of detail on what I want to put in and touch on but no actual story. I keep staring at it, like it's a list of SCP entries, and I can't think of a damn thing for anyone to do with these collected items, places, motifs, themes, and people. It's frustrating cause I can come up with quick pulp narratives on the fly for stuff I'm not working as hard on but every attempt to break and outline a rising action for these people results in rapid breathing and complete brain fume-lock. I keep asking "What does the main character want?" and coming up with nothing. Is this common? Is there a resource for this? Can I pay someone to go through these ideas and find something that other people might want to read? [more inside]

Can't get ATI/AMD 7970 to work with a 2nd video card in the computer.

The other card does not provide video output, and it has an exclamation icon in the device manager with the text "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. (Code 12)" Do you have any idea why this is happening or how I might be able to fix it?
