Actors playing dramatically different status roles.

I would like to collect movie clips of the same actor playing a supporting, deferential role and a leading dominant role. Or of actors playing other dramatically different personalities in different movies. do you have any suggestions where you thought: wow i can't beleive that is the same person as X?

continuing education with human resources or org dev?

A social enterprise I started a few years ago is finding traction and I have a real opportunity to go back to study part time while continuing to work. I want to build on some early work I did with volunteer fundraising training and operations management. What stinks or swims charities is volunteer participation. I am trying to find courses - master's, certificates, short courses (anywhere, online preferred) geared at volunteer management, community organising, political organising, and especially human resource management or human resource development with underserved populations. Can you signpost me? [more inside]

Place to find information on Motorcycles

After reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance some time ago I started being interested into motocycles. So I was wondering if anyone could recommend me some websites or resources where I could find more information on them. Both to learn about the actual motorcycles that are being sold and information in general. Also, can anyone identify this bike for me? [more inside]

Looking for web resource for Canadian court statistics.

How can I locate sources for statistics on the outcomes of Canadian criminal court cases, that include such data as type of defence counsel (ie Legal Aid, from large firm, high profile, new in field, or preferably cost of counsel), amount of time before trial, income/profession of defendant, sentence given, and sentence actually carried out? Does such data even exist? I'm only asking out of curiosity, not for any professional or education project.

...now where's that Egyptian pine bark...?

My next tattoo is going to run the length of my torso's right side, from about mid-breast to inner thigh. I'd like to avoid the usual sort of vines/leaves/faux-tribal clich├ęs, with a similarly organic or flowing feel, and in a more modern style. Can you recommend some resources for interesting patterns or motifs? (Nb.: I've already explored the wide world of tattoo sites, so I'm looking for more intriguing ideas, i.e., scientific diagrams and the like.)

internet archives other than archive.org

Where archive.org fails: I'd like to research the development of news websites - specifically those established by traditional media companies (CNN, The New York Times, etc). While archive.org is a valuable resource, many of the sites I'd like to look at block the automated scripts (robots) that make archiving possible. What's more, some of the sites archived are woefully incomplete and are missing images, etc. Is there an alternative to archive.org or another resource that I might use? [more inside]

I've been watching 24 this season and it has gotten me interested in epidemiology. Can anybody suggest a good layperson's resource, either on the web or in print about the topic? I'm looking for information on how diseases spread and how the situation gets out of control. I've done my googlework, but most of the stuff seems to be to advanced for my current understanding or not very informative. Case studies and response projections would be awesome.
