Is there a kid-friendly portal to pop music videos? She is not satisfied by Kid Disney and she wants to listen to the "latest" hits. She begs us to let her watch music videos on YouTube, but she's not ready to be let loose on that yet. So where can we let her browse and watch "current" videos with not too much bad stuff? TrackIdFilter: I've been trying in vain to ID this deep house track that features the following lyrics: "There ain't no pill that can fill this need" and "Somebody call the doctor" (there's more to it, but this is what I can remember). It was played at Panorama Bar, Berghain, by Kiki at around 11am or so last Sunday morning. [more inside]
I took the night ship from Oslo to Copenhagen last week. When we were about an hour out of Oslo, two of these boats came up on us out of nowhere, spent nearly an hour zooming up and down the length of the ship and back and forth across the wake, then abruptly vanished. Who were they and what, exactly, were they doing? [more inside]
Name That Movie Filter: I'm looking for the name of a movie I caught a brief snippet of on Russian TV, which was therefore dubbed. It involved a dark haired, modern looking (and US by uniform design) soldier being interrogated and beaten by a trio of Vikings or similar 'iron age' warriors. There were questions involving a dragon. It did look fairly recent (last 10 years perhaps).
DISCO music challenge: Disco recording artist, solo guy, one (?) hit in US in 70's (I think) but big in Europe and many albums under his belt, and the recording artist name is like masterblaster or masterbox or blasterbox or something. Suggestions? [more inside]

Suppose that I was giving someone directions to my house that involved telling someone to take an highway or freeway. Would I be correct in telling that person to "take the 10" or "drive four miles on the 60"? I've been mercilessly mocked for inserting the "the" into those directions, but I can't find anything conclusive about the proper way to refer to it. [more inside]

We recently moved into an old house. It's on a small (0.2 acre) lot that is nicely wooded. What is not so nice is that our backyard is bisected by our neighbor's utility lines which run from a pole in the back of our lots. Both our house and out neighbor's house feed off of the same utility pole. [more inside]

Ok! What was the name of the show. It involved two guys, one in his late 20's, incredibly handsome, looked like the blond guy from Dukes of Hazzard only with brown hair, and he wore like a Gulliver's Travel get up, (he may have been from another time in the past) with a wine colored velvet laced up vest, billowing white shirt, and his sidekick was this super dorky teenager 14-18? and they would go on time travels together, and narrowly avoid tricky situations. It was usually shown on weekend afternoons, but it could have had a regular time slot in prime time. Racking my brain! Thanks for your help!

Do you see any advantages for a photography novice in 2010 in starting out with a 35mm SLR that shoots film of the dipping-in-chemicals-in-a-darkroom variety? Multi-part question: Do the various 'services' that run automatically on my computer (such as ipodservice.exe, ituneshelper.exe, adobeupdater.exe) reduce my computer performance significantly enough that it is worth switching them off in Task Manager? How might I automate that process (given that I don't have admin rights -- work laptop)? Could an AutoHotKey script close a batch of these?
