Creation Myth

Pequeninos, Thranx, Fithp, Psychlos, Aalaag, Hani, Mahendo'sat, Kif, etc. Do you recall if any of these science fiction aliens (or any other sf aliens) have their own creation myth? At first glance it seemed a easy research assignment. I have no trouble in coming up with creation myths for real cultures, but I'm coming up with 0 in imaginary cultures.

Those fancy markerboards on "ReGenesis"

On the TV show ReGenesis, the scientists constantly scribble with markers on big, transparent boards — here's a clip, and here's another. I am guessing that they are using fluorescent wet-erase markers, perhaps in combination with a black-light lamp to make the paint visible in such low light. Where can I buy a setup like this?

Blue-toned political video filter.

Music video question: It's probably from the late '90s or early aughts, and it might be a Canadian band, rock-pop. I remember the lead singer might be named Dave, or have his band named after him in some way, but it's not Dave Matthews. It's just a video staged in a blue studio with text overlaid about current socio-economic and political crises in the world. Decoration is very sparse and involved things like ladders and amps; the blue tone to the video is overwhelming. Can you help me find this music video?

Help me find this audio experiment.

I read about and heard an experiment about acoustic resonance. A guy made a tape in a room of his voice, then made many generations of recordings of the original recording. At the end all that was left on tape were the fundamental frequencies of the room. I can't find it anywhere. Ring any bells?

Tinnitus After Antibiotics

I'm recovering from a bout of pneumonia for which I was prescribed a 5-day course of Azithromycin. I'm feeling much better, but I'm bothered by tinnitus. Googling has revealed that my antibiotic may have cause this. If so, will it go away eventually and/or is there anything specific I can do to help it go away? I really don't want to - and can't afford to - pay for another doctor visit if this is something that will go away on its own. [more inside]
