Where can I get a master's that relates to math and computer science and would prepare me for getting a PhD in a computational field that is yet to be determined?

What is your advice for a recent graduate who majored in math and who wants to eventually do research in a computational field, but really hasn't a clue what that would be. Specifically, do you know of any masters programs where I can prepare myself without exactly knowing what I'm preparing for. [more inside]

Looking for no-bake moon cookie recipe

Long ago when I was a kid Cricket Magazine ran a recipe for "moon cookies" attributed to astronaut Michael Collins. These were no-bake spherical cookies that I seem to recall involved peanut butter, not the "phase of the moon" sugar cookies that my Googling is turning up. If anyone has a recipe that sounds like this, please help me find it in time for a "moon festival" party this Saturday!

Three cats might be a little too much company

I'm usually at the top of the class where cats are concerned, but I'm too emotionally involved and could use some outside opinions. Summary: found a cat, took it in on behalf of the owner - but it turned out to be a different cat. I would normally only take a cat in if I could look after it, and I'm not sure I can commit to the new cat - but how can I not? tl;dr inside. [more inside]

How to suit up without going broke?

I'm changing jobs and going from a very casual environment to jacket and tie land. At the moment the only suit I've got that fits is the one I interviewed in, so I'm going to need a week and a half's worth of clothing and I don't want to go broke buying it. I'm looking for recommendations for menswear places in Minneapolis / St. Paul and the southern suburbs, and any tips from folks well accustomed to suiting up on a regular basis.

Is biofeedback a joke?

My 2 1/2 year old gets migraines. The only cause we can discern is chocolate but have tried other elimination diets to no avail. Someone suggested biofeedback (a machine that can tell you what your body needs to heal) - and this will help determine the cause(s). I am very skeptical. Would you give it a try? The test is ~$150.

Shopping/eating suggestions for Seoul?

Going to Seoul next month on business, and I was looking for specific recommendations for shopping and dining. Specifically, I plan to purchase (maybe) electronics, cigars, and clothing, and by clothing I mean custom tailored suits and dress shirts. For food, I would prefer authentic Korean; might as well eat like the locals while I'm there. I've heard about the Yongsan Electronics market and the Coex mall, and I plan to visit them, but does anyone have any specific shops, locations, or restaurants to recommend? Anything in the Itaewon/Myeong-Dong/Hongdae area is preferred, but anything in Seoul will OK.
