Help a Peruvian deal with the jetlag he gets from overnight and weekend trips to Bolivia

Parents of 3+ year olds! How do you deal with being tired *all the time*? I've gone from being single and childless and in my early 30s to being the boyfriend of a mother of two boys (3 and 7). Things are astonishingly good between us, and the boys are great (albeit a lot of hard work, even according to their Mum), but I'm *so* tired after helping out with the boys - it's all the games of tag, the nerf gunfights, the question and answer sessions, etc. We're really enjoying ourselves, but ohmigod I'm exhausted. Help me not feel like I'm letting the side down at home with my housemates, at her place, out and about with my friends and at work. Other than 'coffee', 'more sleep' and 'less time with the girlfriend and the boys' (done, done, and ain't gonna happen), what are your protips for fighting off tiredness and irascibility?

I'm looking for record stores in New Orleans.

My wife is traveling to New Orleans this weekend, and I'd like her to pick me up a (vinyl) record or two. The place she's staying is on the edge of the French Quarter and Faubourg Marigny. Can anyone recommend some cool record stores in that general vicinity where she could pick up N.O. jazz/blues vinyl? I've done a bit of searching, but most of the places I've found seem to stock mostly CDs.

Can I Eat It (next year)?

Can I Eat It Halloween Edition: We bought two giant bags of Willy Wonka assorted candy for Halloween (mostly so I could steal all the BottleCaps). We only went through one, the other is unopened. Can I save it until next year? There's no expiration date that I can find, and the stuff is nothing but sugar and artificial colors and flavors.

Best books about the LHC's physics?

What are currently the best books about Large Hadron Collider physics for someone with a reasonable background in physics (eg an undergraduate degree), rather than the purely lay reader? I already plan on getting the pop-up book for the fun of it and I'm not interested in conspiracy theories about it gobbling up the universe. The limits of current knowledge and how the experiments will add to this are what I'm interested in, so the best of the latest books that provide the relevant context are also welcome. Thanks!

Web Editing Resources?

Help Me Be A Good Web Editor! Please? Hi! The media outlet where I work has recently started a news web site, and I'm the editor. I have a vague idea of what I'm doing, but the actual copyediting-type-stuff I've been doing to AP print standards. I don't have a specific question, but generally, I'd really like to get some of the "official" basics of web editing down. I looked on mediabistro and they don't seem to have a class for this, and I looked on Amazon but I'm not sure about those books. Any suggestions for resources? I'd love either a class or a book that's as useful as the AP Guide, but for print. Your thoughts, hivemind?

[HypochondriacFilter] Should I see a doctor?

So. Background: I'm in great shape. Eat well. Drink lightly. Work out at the gym a couple times a week and do martial arts. I'm also in my late twenties. Last few days I've had a tight feeling in the front of my chest, like a dull, centralized ache. I suppose it could be muscle pain, I did change my workout routine recently. But I've also found myself really short on breath intermittently. (It's hard to describe, kind of a fluttery, panic attack, 'can't catch your breath,' 'butterfly in my heart' feeling.) Coincidence? Could be. So the question is, should I be running off to see a doctor? I know they say to consult a doctor about ANY chest pain, but who likes to see doctors, and why would my heart be ailing anyway? I'm inclined to pass it off as nothing, but...

Travel to Paris, France as a Bahamian citizen: How fast can a visa be taken care of?

A friend is traveling to Paris, France to stay for 2-5 days. He's a Bahamian citizen, which seems to indicate he'll need a visa for sure. Here's the twist: he's en route, and may have only a day to try to get any paperwork taken care of. Does he stand a chance of getting a visa through, or should he turn back now? The US French Consulate does not give out visa information by phone, and I've trying contacting Customs and the Police at Charles De Gaulle Airport (+33 1 48 62 31 22). Unfortunately, I don't speak French, and the phone system seems to be unforgiving.

I'm in the UK and would prefer to buy something available (online is fine) within the UK. If it works with Windows Media Player, fine; if not, please recommend (inexpensive) software I could use. But now I've reached the point where I'm ready to start meeting some nice prospects, looking for a relationship and, yes, having sex. (NSFW) [more inside]
