can you stream online radio on your phone while walking?

Using your smartphone, can you listen to online live radio while walking around your city? I'm trying to do this (with my iPhone, in Paris) and it only works if I stay in one place; if I move more than about 500m, it usually disconnects. I'm curious to know if others have the same experience so that I can determine if it's my carrier, the phone, the city, or just general limitations of 3G GSM networks. (Note: I'm not talking about Pandora or Spotify; I'm referring specifically to live radio streams which can't buffer minutes ahead). [more inside]

90s era new age cube puzzle game - what's the name?

Looking for a mid-90s PC puzzle game based on a cube. Holo or Light or something -- New age/tribal music... I don't remember exactly how it worked, but you try to get the marked side of the cube to land face down on a specific square on a grid (I think the location kept moving, though I'm not sure). Anyways, it might have come with my old IBM Pentium as a prepackaged thing. Any ideas?

Latin for "and this too shall pass" please?

A passing acquaintance who knows I took Latin some years ago has asked me to translate something for him for a tattoo. I've found this online, and it jibes, more or less with what I remember, but its been years, and I'd love to pass this by someone before I'm an accessory to something permanent. I'm leaning towards one of the first two. What he wants is "And this too shall pass." -“Et hoc transibit” -“Hoc quoque transibit" -“Hoc etiam transibit”

Does C4 smell like Almonds?

On "Lie To Me" this past week (possible spoiler alert) one of the characters notices the smell of Almonds while walking up to a building that was rigged to explode with C4. Now I was wondering: does C4 actually smell like Almonds? Or is this just one of those weird Hollywood myths. This seems like a bad property for something used to blow people up (they would smell the almonds and run away).

Ecotune Duet Power Consumption?

Has anyone done a Killawatt (or similar) analysis of an EcoTune Duet sound machine? I am trying to find average running costs for this. Our current white noise machine of choice is a fan that runs at 38 watts. I've priced the rotary fan motor-based Marpac Sleepmate but at 13 watts max volume by Killawatt there just isn't enough delta between this and an actual fan.
