Slang for "Napolitano"?

I was chatting with a fella from Rome a few years back and mentioned that my father's parents emigrated from Napoli. He said, "you're a ____!" which was apparently a slang term for somebody from Naples-and no, it's not "Napolitano" or anything close to that. Anybody know what he said?

What's a great travel mug for espresso?

I make a double espresso most mornings and take it in the car to go. I have some good travel mugs, but they are huge. The smallest I've seen lately are 14-16 ounces, and many are even much bigger. I'd really like a smaller one, maybe 6-8 ounces, or whatever size would be good for a double espresso. Are there any good small ones you've tried?

Cool-headed drug-running young Irisher swims for shore to start over

I'd like to re-read this short story and other work by this author: I think this was collected in Best American Short Stories or O Henry short story collection, probably the past fifteen years. A great story, tight writing, great characters, fast pace: Cool-headed young man, Irish heritage, gutsy adventurer, stone-cold in face of danger, and danger abounds in this story, as he's running drugs on a sailboat in the Mediterranean. Drugs purchased with money he borrowed from his sister on some pretext or other. [more inside]

Alternative to exorbitant US text rates through 3G?

I text a lot, but don't feel like paying the exorbitant prices for text packages here in American. I have plenty of 3G bandwidth, and wondered if there was a free/cheaper alternative than paying $10 a month for 1000 texts. I only need to text in the US and have a google voice account, but need a way to send and receive texts to my Android Phone.

Remote area internet access

Email and basic web-browsing solution using a server in the city, dialup terminal in the bush - is it possible? I have a friend who operates a business at two locations in a 3rd-world country: (1) a city-based business office in which he is able to get ordinary DSL-speed and relatively reliable internet access, and (2) a remote site in which he has unreliable dialup-speed internet access. His problem is that #2 does not cope well with photos, videos, or anything bigger than about 100K, all of which he frequently gets as email attachments. [more inside]

Name a beer-tracking application/service/website

A friend and I are trying to come up with a name for a mobile application/service/website that we've built and released under a very unimaginative name. You can track and rate beers that you've had, and there will soon be a central repository and recommended beers and interesting statistics (You've had eight IPAs this month!) But before we buy a domain, we want a memorable name. [more inside]

Help me ID this story/author: I've been listening to a little more Warren Zevon than usual lately, and this has tickled a vague recollection of a novella or short story (possibly from an anthology) about a white-collar werewolf working as a repo man or debt collector, driving a big ol' (green?)
