Is it safe to eat chocolate which was molten within a plastic wrapping?

[Can-I-eat-this-filter] I left a piece of chocolate in a plastic wrapping on a place where it got too hot. The chocolate in it melted completely, the plastic did not. However, another piece of plastic, lying beneath it, started to melt. The chocolate reached maybe 60-70 degrees celsius. Are there any harmful toxins which may have migrated into the chocolate at this temperature? [more inside]

Help a Mac access music over the network stored on a Windows XP machine.

My wife just purchased a Macbook after using a Dell Mini 9 for several years. All of our music is on a WinXP server and shared out over the network. We want to keep it all on the server if possible. Importing the music into iTunes (over wifi) is slower and more painful than it is on the Windows machines, which I'm surprised about. [more inside]

Song ID: Indie/Electronic "love song"

Song ID request for help: Some time ago I was listening to an indie rock radio station (probably 89.3 the Current) and I heard a song that I really enjoyed. I wrote down the date/time it was played and as many lyrics as I could get down. Unfortunately, I have since lost the slip of paper and have only a few scant clues to go off of. Here's what I remember: - It was a heavily digitized (vocoder?) voice, and sort of electronica-y, in the sort-of indie rock fashion (not like in the club or at a rave fashion). -The chorus included the lyrics (as best I can recall) the following fragments: "even though you really love [him/her]" and "...only causes you pain." I know how terribly little this is to go off of, but I figured if I had a shot anywhere, it would be here!

Will my son get a lot of use from a Kindle?

My soon to be 12 year old is hankering for a Kindle as his only gift this year. He's responsible with his electronics and takes extremely good care of them. I have no hesitation on that end. Are there many free books for teens (he's a very avid and advanced reader). Also, with the way he goes through books, I just wonder how much I'll end up spending. Anyone have any experience with their children and a Kindle? Oh...and the libraries in my sleepy town haven't caught up with this technology, so that's not an option. Thanks!

Dear god what is this.

This html/css problem has been driving me crazy: in IE, URLs that are coded: <a href="http://www.ecaa.ee/?">www.ecaa.ee</a> are rendered on screen as 'http://www.ecaa.ee/' but as you can see the http is not in the label. Similarly, mailto: links have the 'mailto:' rendered in front of them even though this only appears in the href attribute. It only happens with the associated stylesheet, not if I view the non-styled html doc in IE. It does not happen in any other browser. [more inside]

Can I move to Canada if my boyfriend is offered a job there?

My boyfriend was recently laid-off from his job in a competitive industry where companies are concentrated in certain areas -- he can't find another job in the industry just anywhere. He is looking for a new job in the industry. We (both US citizens) plan to go together to whatever place he finds a job, and there are a good number of opportunities in Canada (relatively speaking), so we are trying to decide if he should apply for jobs there. If he were hired by a Canadian company, would I be able to move with him there, and work after a certain amount of time? [more inside]
