Recently, I came across an online article with a diagram which sketched out how US food subsidies are practically an inverse of the food pyramid — that the items we're supposed to be consuming the least of (fats, sweets, and meats) get the most support from the gov't. I thought this was at GOOD.is, but I can't find it there. Does anyone know where I could find this article/graphic online?

I am in the process of preparing to move to London for the next four years to attend college. As I have sold off a large portion of my beloved library, I don't want to find myself doing the same exercise in 4.5 years time when I return to the US. Coming late to the ebook reader dance, I ask you which of these two will be the better choice in light of current capabilities (and in addition to the fact that I want a reader to buy and read books, extras do not figure into the equation) - the Kindle or the Nook?

I currently use AT&T as our broadband ISP at home. Our five-year-old modem/router just died, and since it's so old, AT&T tells me that it's no longer under warranty, and I have to buy a new one myself. Then they directed me to an AT&T Wireless retail store to go buy the equipment. But can they force me to buy one of their routers? What if I can find a comparable one cheaper somewhere else? Can they refuse me customer service or deny me installation help (which I will need - I'm hopelessly n00bulous in this department) if I don't by an "official" AT&T router? [more inside]

LongShotFilter: I once was in a music store in Northern California and while waiting for a friend I picked up a mini acoustic guitar which was selling for around $75-150 (I think) in order to pass the time. I'm looking for a movie: Scifi, set in space/on a spaceship, probably late 70s release, that has as a plot element humans hiding from a nefarious computer or machine that would stick a needle in the back of the person's head (possibly into a port) when person was caught.
I'm looking for the name of a relatively recent jazzy 40s/50s style band. They had a music video in a fake 50s (?) style, and perhaps most noticably, the two female singers were sort of hunched over one microphone. The music was quite good! But I can't remember what they or their song were called. Can anyone help?
