Can't find switch for home security lights...

A month ago, my family moved into a new (to us) home. It is a one story ranch, with a straightforward layout. The house has three motion-activated security lights along the roofline. The lights are hardwired. I have found the indoor switch that activates light #1- no problem there. I cannot find the switches that activate the other two lights. [more inside]

Best exercises for pole-dancing

I want to start taking pole-dancing classes, but I'm neither financially nor physically ready for them. I hope to start this winter, but in the meantime I'm going to the gym and lifting 2-4 times a week. What are the best exercises/lifts I can do that will help me get ready for pole-dancing specifically? Early 30s, female, terrible cardio capacity but can deadlift my body weight so far. My gym is pretty basic, with the usual weight machines, free weights, benches, etc. No kettlebells or rings, unfortunately, nor will I have access to an actual pole. Thanks!

Bookworm meets ADD

I hate everything on my Nook/Kindle/iBook shelves. I have the newest Judy Blume and Stephen King and gave up after a few pages of each. Same for three other books in half hour span. My husband and I have been part of a 4-couple Supper Club that we've really valued. (Let's call the 8 members Couple A, Couple B, and Couple C, and us.) Can you identify this plant?

Asking for a friend who found these in his Los Angeles backyard: The nuts start out green like olives, then turn. Inside is a hard shell. If you crack that open there is a strong smell my friend described as a cross between almond, macadamia and hazelnut, mostly almond. His dog chewed up the nuts so he's wondering if they're toxic at all.

Plane transfer timeline for international flights through Toronto

My wife and I are planning a trip to the UK in August/September. We're looking at flying out of Minneapolis/St. Paul on Air Canada, with a stop at Toronto before continuing on to Heathrow, with the same itinerary reversed on the way back. Will an hour and a half be enough time in Toronto between flights? Since both our flights are international, will we be required to go through any kind of customs screening in Toronto on either leg, or will we be in the international terminal/area the whole time?

He seems to be increasingly struggling with his issues day by day He mentioned that he still loves/cares for me, and wants to become a better person for me, build a life together but can't do these things until he gets better.
