Hunting Down an Elusive (Unless Overpriced) Ikea Bath Mat

I love me Ikea's Toftbo bath mat because it's big, bright, colorful, and thin enough that my bathroom door can open and close over it. It's $10 in-person at Ikea and almost twice that much online from Amazon. Unfortunately, I live overseas and can't get to an Ikea store. Ideas on how to get one for the lower price? And, failing that, suggestions for a similar bathmat?

How can I find the most recently-manufactured mascara?

I like Maybelline Full n Soft mascara. It doesn't seem to have fast product turnover in most drugstores, so I bought a tube online, but that too was old. How can I figure out which store (in person or online) would likely have the most turnover for this product, so I am assured of getting a newer tube? For instance, in Chicago, I would have guessed the CVS in Ogilvie train station. Mascara does not have a best by or manufacturing date on it.

Is Square stalking me?

I made an in-person (not online) purchase yesterday from a vendor I had never used before using my personal credit card on a Square. I did not request that an e-mail receipt be sent to me, nor did the vendor. Yet, an e-mail receipt was sent by Square to my work email address. How would Square have this address? Why would they send it to my work email without me requesting it? Are they stalking me? [more inside]

My Nexus 4 is getting a bit long in the tooth, looking for something similar but with updated specs. Does this movie sweater exist in real life?

I'm looking for a sweater similar to (the same as?) this sweater worn by Kenny in the Tom Ford movie A Single Man. Where can I find a skirt like this in my size?

I love butt-covering knit miniskirts for wearing over leggings like this one at H&M, but they don't make it in XL/16-18. That is, tight-fitting (NOT flared), knit, short -- shorter than a pencil skirt -- and ideally mostly cotton. Do you know where can I find one? [more inside]

Bowling for ramen

My SO and I like to get take-out ramen from Japanese restaurants, but our bowls are woefully inadequate. (Usually I use a regular bowl and have to go back for seconds and thirds, while he awkwardly slurps it out of a salad bowl.) I'd like to get him some appropriately-sized bowls for Christmas, but I'm not even sure what to search for or where to look. Any suggestions, recommendations or pointers? Doesn't have to be fancy or Japanese, just a good size to hold all the deliciousness.

So Eshakti Does Not Believe in Fractions

I’d like to order a dress from eshakti, but the sizing is off for me, so I thought I’d do the custom-sizing. However, the form for entering your measurements only accepts whole numbers, whereas all my measurements end in fractions of an inch (you know, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2). I'm having trouble reconciling this, as there is an huge difference between X overbust and a X+1 overbust measurement, particularly when you bother to take a bust and underbust measurement as well. So I’m having trouble reconciling this. [more inside]

Can you still do a week's food shopping in one go? If you have moved to going to the grocery store more than once a week to buy things to cook that day or the next few days, what do you typically run out of, or is it more of an impulse buy? If you were able to have appliances or storage to help you keep food fresh or remember to use what you bought, what would you consider getting? When can I go back to my beloved boot cut jeans?

Dear mefite fashionistas, please help someone who has been in the fashion wilderness for a while. For the last three years I've either been pregnant or having children. Now I'm starting to get my body back and will have to go shopping, what's the deal with jeans now? Just by looking around it seems that unfortunately skinny jeans are still in but are bootcut or anything else coming back? (Please say yes...) I remember a comment here a while back from someone who said that they were the new mum jeans, and whilst I am one, I don't necessarily want to look like that! Is this still the case? I'm also not wanting to look like a teenager either, for what it's worth. Aim for mid 30s. What should I be buying?

What to do with a few weekdays in Los Angeles?

We'll be in L.A. for 2-3 weekdays in mid-March, and while one of our evenings is scheduled, we have no idea what to do with the rest of our time. We'll be staying in or near Hollywood, and won't have a car, but don't mind taking transit. We're especially looking for suggestions for one really very nice, splurge-y place for dinner, as well as great inexpensive places to eat. Also interested in: coffee-snob coffee; fancy cocktails; craft beer; fun/interesting/unique places to shop; anything else that seems interesting. We also really like live shows (comedy/improv/podcast/music), but most of the L.A. shows we know about are on the weekend. And I'm planning to go to Jenette Bras for a fitting, but I'd love suggestions for any other bra shops that carry sizes in the G+ range.

MeFi, I want to flex my muscles! More specifically, I want a T-shirt that looks like a muscular male chest. Cartoon abs would be ideal but photorealistic abs will be okay too. I would like the shirt to be in color, have the printed abs be wide enough to cover my chest so it looks like I have a six pack rather than looking like a picture of abs, and be available in a men's/unisex small. Under $20 including shipping would be ideal too. This is the closest I can find to what I need but is too large, too expensive and I'd honestly prefer cartoony abs. Halp?
