Are there options to add internet to a place that isn't wired for cable/broadband and doesn't have a phone line?
The marina where I keep my sailboat does not have cable or telephone lines installed at the docks. I want to be able to use the internet while I am staying on my boat. Are there technology options available so that I can make this happen? What is the general connectivity speed of those options?
Many thanks!

My DSL internet connection went kaput on Thursday. I rebooted my modem with the help of my ISP and all was well for a few hours. I figured it was my ancient modem that finally died. So, I pick up a new modem and plug it in and nothing happens. All the lights light up, my ipod touch and laptop see my wireless network but there's connection. I plug directly into the modem via ethernet cable and still nothing.

I am on a cross country flight on a Delta 737-800 with DVOD. Everything I am reading says I should have a USB port at my seat, but I can't find it. The flight attendants seemed very confused when I asked them about it. Can anyone tell me exactly where this mysterious USB port would be?

I have a close friend who works as a php programmer who is interested in mentoring me. I have good reason to think that web development is the sort of work that I'd be good at. But is it really a smart move to devote time to learning these skills at this time? Is the market for web developers expected to be strong in the near future, or is it starting to wane?

My old PC laptop runs perfectly as do any tablets on my apt public wi-fi. The iMac computer (Snow Leopard), slows to a halt and won't get to pages after a few times. I have done several things such as reset PRAM, gone to /Library/Preferences and moved all the files in the System Configuration folder to the Trash, and restarted Mac...The second bit helped for a week and now it is doing it again, no matter what browser. MacKeeper says the computer is alright, and airport utility just tells me I am connected to the internet. (I've done the reconnecting and assistant and diagnostics but nada...) I cannot figure this out and I have scoured the net. If somebody was downloading a ton on it, I would at least understand but any other devices work fine. My husband wants throw it out the window. Any ideas?

I need to create a web form to gather information. In an ideal world, the service would create a hosted URL, people would fill out the form, when submitted, the form would automatically be emailed to 3 selected addresses, and there would be an option for the submitter to either save to pdf or print. Oh, and it should be free. Does this exist?

Some web content, like Tumblr and the videos on Netflix appear in greyscale, with vertical lines all over them, and smushed into the left side of the screen. If I want to click on something, I need to click on the place it would normally be, rather than where it appears on the tiny, greyscale screen. I don't think it's my browser, because it happens on both Safari and IE (I know, I know, but I can't watch Netflix on Safari). I couldn't find an answer on Google. Thanks in advance!

I bought a signal-enhancing antenna for my Macbook Pro, in order to try to enhance my laptop's reception of the university internet, but it didn't work and I'm not sure why. I'm trying now to decide whether to try again, possibly with another product, or whether to pay for a private provider and which one. Any thoughts would be most welcome!

I'm moving to a new apartment in Louisville, KY and I need to decide on some sort of internet package. AT&T is apparently what most people in the area choose, so I've been looking at their options. I think that I might want either their DSL XTREME or DSL XTREME 6.0 but I don't want to pay for more than I need. I need to be able to download and upload music and videos, and I stream a lot of television shows and movies through Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming sites. I also need to be able to use Skype. Which option would be the better one?

In the past we have had not problem with SIM cards overseas, particularly finding the
