Well-made walking shoes with repairable soles?

Well-made walking shoes with repairable soles? This is kind of in line with cooking with cast iron, shaving with a straight razor, etc. I want well made comfortable walking shoes that will last for a decade with some upkeep and repair. I'm looking to make an investment in some shoes that I can walk in all day that also look like normal shoes. Black/brown leather, no loud branding or insignias. I have Keen shoes similar to these & love them, but Keen doesn't repair soles as I'm led to understand. Are we now in a world where good walking shoes can't be repaired, is this a fool's errand? Not looking to exceed a couple hundred. Go!

Online shoe repair services: good or bad?

I have come across a few online shoe repair services that seem to offer more bang for your buck than my local cobbler. Does anyone have good or bad experiences with sending off their shoes to be fixed (from a half-sole to a full recraft) that they can share? Assume I'm already aware that it's important to support local craftsmen when I can.

A good resoling place in NYC?

I've found a place online I can have my Clark's Wallabees resoled, but can anyone recommend a place in Brooklyn or Manhattan that resoles Wallabees? It'd be great if they can resole these high-top Pony's I have too. Thanks!

New soles for old Birkenstocks: worth it?

Does resoling Birkenstocks really work? If so, what is the best online company that resoles Birkenstock sandals? I love my Birks and they're still in great shape, except for the rubber sole, which is almost worn down to the cork. I'd like to save some money and get them resoled, but I can't find a local store that is an "authorized" Birkenstock repair shop. Have you had experience with a good repair shop that accepts mailed-in sandals? (Ideally, I'd like to find a nice balance of quality, price, and speed.) Most importantly, did your new soles stay attached to the cork footbed?
