The "hanging bolt" or "pivot bolt" assembly which held the rear derailleur to the frame of my son's old mountain bike disassembled while he was riding it and vanished. Is it possible to find generic replacement parts or does it need a whole new derailleur (it's an old Suntour Accushift \alpha-2000)? What's the cheapest way to get this bike running at this point?

I just bought a new condo (yay!) but the shower water is not ideal (boo!). It gets
almost hot, but not quite. I know that I can adjust the temperature on the water heater in the basement, but the water in the rest of the house gets very hot, so I feel like there's something shower-specific.
From Googling, it sounds as though there's probably a blockage. Can you explain to me, like I'm a child, how (and if) I can deal with this?

I just bought a Blackberry Bold 9700, and unlocked it (so there's no warranty). I have used it for about a month or 6 weeks, and following a trip to the beach where it did not get wet, the buttons are not responding properly. Example: the keyguard button on the top left of the phone locks keys but won't unlock keys. The End Call / Power button ends calls and turns off the phone, but won't turn it on. All the keys work but pushing two buttons at once cancels both requests. I've re-installed the software (I think) and left it in rice overnight and both did not help, except for an hour or so when it randomly started working and then stopped again.
Do you have any ideas what's wrong with it, and if I am able to fix it myself? (I have a T5 screwdriver if I need to crack it open). Thanks in advance! :)

My iPhone has a cracked LCD, and I'm considering sending it to
Mission repair, who I found via this
ask. Does anyone else have any experiences with them to share before I send away my phone? Are there any steps I should take to make data safe, or am I just being paranoid there? Are there any alternatives I should consider in the Seattle area? Note that the phone is not under warranty.

How can I figure out what's leaking from my car? (And other maladies...) Does anyone know of a site -- like WebMD, but for cars -- where I can type in symptoms and narrow down what might be wrong with a car? I know that I can go to a mechanic, but sometimes the first question is whether it's even safe to drive the car to the mechanic.
