Getting out of a rental situation ASAP and in to a new place due to a relationship ending... Am having problems figuring out when to give notice and get into the new place in a timely manner but not screwing anyone in the process. Probably a very simple way to do this, but I'm clueless! Our house is in sad state of disrepair. We'd fix it if we could, but we don't own it. We'd be persistent with the "landlords" but, we don't pay rent or bills. How do I tell them in a forceful, but considerate way that the house needs to be fixed? [more inside]
