I've lived in my apartment for almost two years, on a month - to - month lease signed when the previous tenant left. While I can't claim to have been the perfect tenant, I've certainly never done anything that can get me evicted. Last month the building sold to a new owner, with whom I'd met and seemed friendly, but I've been wary of the situation nonetheless, never having much reason to trust landlords.
