I have a list of neighborhoods I'd consider living, a list of amenities that I consider necessary and/or negotiable, and a $ amount in mind per month. How can I make the selection process move along more quickly than the Craigslist Method?

Friend signed a July 1 lease on a condo. Found out today that the owner is prohibited by the condo association from renting to her. Movers are scheduled for July 7. Now what?

I am working in Central Jersey now (near Princeton), and still living in NYC. Want to know if there any acceptable places for a single guy to live in this area. I checked out River Park at Raritan - it looks ok. Looked at Pike Run in Belle Mead, but I read a number of reviews and they were all pretty bad. Tenants were complaining about bedbugs and poor insulation.
Are there any places, preferably on the luxury rental side, that are decent for a single professional to live in the area?

I need ideas for renting out our furnished Seattle condo while still allowing us to use it periodically, and while not running afoul of our condo association's rule regarding rentals.

My boyfriend and I just booked a flight to Honolulu for the first week of May and now we need to find accommodations. We're hoping to find a week-long rental somewhere within the city to use as a home base, spend most of our time at the beach and/or exploring nearby tourist-y sites via public transit, and maybe rent a car for just a couple days.

Can anyone provide advice, suggest tenant rights resources, courses of action or even refer a good pro-bono lawyer for a friend of mine who's getting screwed by her landlord during the conversion of her apartment complex from rentals to condos in Studio City, CA?
