How can I make a movie from 4000 still images?

I want to assemble 4000 still images from a recent trip into a movie. I don't want to do it manually. Please tell me what software will do this for me! I have been travelling for the last eight months, and have taken 4000+ photos. Since there's no way anyone would ever want to look at all of them, I want to assemble them all into a video, where each image is displayed for a tenth of a second or so (and the whole thing set to music). I assume this can be done fairly easily as it's how all stop motion animation is done, right?

I would like to be able to script this and leave it to render. I have resized copies of the images to 720p, and even added black borders to vertical shots so that they're the correct size.

I've tried ImageMagick, but it doesn't come with either H264 or mp3 (for decoding the music) codecs, which are what I think I want. I tried compiling these in from source but got stuck in dependency hell and have now given up on ImageMagick completely. I'm only going to be uploading this to the web, so any suggestions on better codecs will also be listened to.

Please reccommend me some software, preferably free, that will allow me to assemble my little movie. XP / Linux doesn't bother me either way, as long as it works. Thanks!

Is it me or is it Dreamweaver MX 2004

Why does Dreamweaver MX 2004 suck so bad in mac 10.4.4? I'm trying to create a very simple page with one style sheet. Dreamweaver renders the page completely incorrectly, with divs and images in all the wrong places. I've reinstalled the program with the same results. Yet when I view the code in any broswer by hitting F12, the page renders as it should. Is there a way to make Dreamweaver render correctly that I'm simply overlooking.

Barring that, what are my other options? Is GoLive any better? Or should I just give myself over to BBEdit full-time and just hand code?

What do others do?

Keynote 2 Video Export Settings

I'd like to export a Keynote 2 presentation to a video, but all of my attempts result in bad quality and skipping. What settings and codecs should I be using? The default high-quality export gives me a file that seems to stutter on playback. My presentation is about 7 minutes long. I must be able to play this back on a Windows machine in a constant loop. I had assumed VLC would be the best option.

Most of the codec options in the advanced export settings don't work. Do I need to install additional software to use them? I don't mind doing this, but I also don't know how to do it.

What framerate, codec, and other settings should I use to get high quality video from my effects-laden presentation? Filesize isn't a limitation, and my presentation has no audio.

Question about CSS = xml

i'd like to use css+xml to render pdf on a server for *free*... any help? [mi] i've looked into yeslogic prince and it sounds like the bee's knees, but their commercial server license is $2000 (?!?). jumping into xsl-fo is a bit more than i want to bite off at the moment; css is not a prob. any help would be greatly appreciated.

an alternative might be to use css to mold printing from a html file, but i'd like to be able to offer pdf to clients so that i know it will print correctly (whereas highly styled html might get eaten by ie).

Is there any web-based service that will image (render) a webpage using specific rendering engines, and then email or display the result? I'm developing on a Mac, and experiencing some weird Explorer 6 CSS problems, and don't have a PC handy to troubleshoot.
