I have an uncommon, but very well known fictional first name. I've never met anyone else with it, but everyone knows it. I like my name and it's who I am, but I get tired of having to talk about it with everyone I meet.

Wordpress.org Links Widget Problem: This seems like it should be relatively easy, but I can't figure it out – Is there a way I can change the titles of the Wordpress Links Widgets (Blogroll)
as seen in the admin panel? I'm using many instances of the the links widget for different groups of links (trust me that there's a good reason for this), and currently what I see in my sidebar section in the Widgets area of the admin panel is a column of LINKS, LINKS, LINKS, LINKS, etc., when what I want to see is LINKS Topic A, LINKS Topic B, LINKS Topic C, etc.

I want to write a batch file that will let me change the extensions of all the files of a certain type (so, like, "ren *.nco *.zip") through all of the sub-directories in a directory. If this is possible, how is it done?

I am in the process of scanning about 1,500 photos from my life (thank you Epson auto feeder) and am now tasked with organizing them into a useful digital library. The order is almost completely random, and while I can organize them by subject into folders, what I really need is a program that will let me drag and drop thumbnails into the order that I want them and then rename the files so that they remain in that order. Does anyone know of such a software program or have any other suggestions for doing this? And I'm on a Mac (Leopard), but have Parallels if need be. Thanks!

I've searched and searched, but everyone has albums. I'm the one whose been downloading singles off p2p networks for ages. I've never owned an album/cd. Which is why this is slightly hard for me..
Now, some of them have whacky tags, and some of them have whacky filenames.

Is there a good way to convert an entire directory of numbered files from hex to decimal notation or vice versa? For example, I'll have files named AK00.txt AK03.txt and AK1F.txt that I want to convert to AK00.txt AK03.txt and AK31.txt. I've considered writing a shell script to do this, but if a solution already exists, I would love to hear about it. Thanks!
