Can you help me get my Cox Cable universal remote (M7820) to play nice with my Sony Blu-ray player (BDP-S380 / BX38)? Both Sony and Cox tech support tell me there are no remote codes in existence to program into the Cox remote. That just sounds ludicrous to me...what's up? I know how to program the remote, just need the proper code.

I would like to buy a Pioneer DVD-V7400 Industrial DVD Player, which are going pretty cheap on ebay. However, the ones on ebay don't come with remotes, and buying the remote alone costs 50-60 bucks. I have a Phillips DVD recorder (DVR75) and recently bought a Phillips DVD player (DVP630) which sits underneath the recorder. However,when I try to turn on the new player using the remote for it, it's turning on the recorder instead. Is there a simple way to fix this?
