Does anyone have a good download link for the entirety of thepartyparty's tracks? I remember I used to have 8 or 9 different remixes, but the website seems to have whittled that down to only 5, and with no clean download links. I need my "Dick is a Killer"!

Does anyone know of a version of "Baby It's Cold Outside" or "Let It Snow" or "Winter Wonderland" or any other non-denominational holiday song that has been remade so that it's upbeat? A cool electronic or hip hop remix would be awesome. It's important that it's upbeat and not slow and mellow like the originals are usually sung.

You know how in (some) remixes, someone will yell during the intro "REEEEEEEmix!" with the "re" as a higher note, and the "mix" as a lower note (the interval always seems to be the same). Who started that, and when was that particular interval settled upon as the way to say "remix"? [more inside]

I'm DJing a rave in a month or so, and the crowd I'll be playing to is much more of a gamer crowd than the average rave-going-crowd is. I'm going to throw in some game music remixes at some point, and I thought I'd ask for suggestions. [more inside]

At the dawn of the mp3 era, I found a track on the web that has alluded me since. It was a remix, and may have been a home-brew, and it's therefore much harder to find. I'm hoping there's a Mefite out there that has stumbled on this in the past, and can point me the right direction. [more inside]

My girlfriend is obsessed with the Cillit Bang advertisement remix. Back in the 80's (or early 90's), there was a similar "remix" video of 50's black and white advertisements set to a beat-box soundtrack, with "lyrics" consisting of samples the sales pitches of those ads. Can anyone ID this? [more inside]

I heard from an R2 unit a while ago there was an underground album of remixed star wars related tunes, breakbeats, other various mixes, this illicit material was highly rated among the republic but the imperial guard look to have wiped all trace of it from the archives, does anyone have details?

Is there a place on the internet where movies are remixed, like the JarJarBeGone remix of _A Phantom Menace_, ostensibly to improve them (as opposed to simply shortening them)?
I can think of a number of films that would have been better with a little editing, a few flat spots taken out, etc. and I was just wondering if this has started to happen in an online community. I guess one example would be the 30-minute version of Planet of the Apes.
Of course, I wish someone had done the same thing with Neal Stephenson's Baroque Cycle. Not a reader's digest condensed version, but perhaps an e-book that would warn me when a particularly long passage had no immediated relevance to the plot progression so I could come back to it later, perhaps. After almost 3,000 pages I'm exhausted!
I just like the idea of these sorts of remixes floating about but haven't found too many.
Thanks.
