I’d like to be periodically reminded me of various life lessons I’ve learned and/or inspirational quotes – things that I don’t need to reminded of constantly, but if left long enough, I will forget. I was wondering if there was an Android app that could help me do this. [more inside]

I have to take medicine within a certain window every day, and while I'm getting used to it, I'd love to have an app for Android (or other great solution) with a notification that doesn't disappear until I acknowledge I've taken my medicine and that will notify me when its time to take it. If anyone knows of any app with this functionality, that'd me amazing - I've looked at alarm clock and checklist apps, but they either don't capture the time-sensitive nature of this or disappear as soon as I look at the notification. Thanks, metafilter!

I'm trying to keep track of cheap tickets for a dream international flight in end July 2011. However, almost all the sites I looked at say I'm searching way too early and have no information for me. When is the best time to look, and are there any websites that will email me with details once a good price or deal shows up? As a follow-up to this question, I'm looking for an online application that will let me set up a calendar and will email me daily reminders of the day's events. I need to do this online, because I move around a lot and am constantly using different PCs (so an Outlook/Eudora/Etc. solution won't work). I would like to be able to get a reminder the night before and one the morning-of. Google suggests there are several such services. Are there any really good ones? Bonus: Has anyone invented one that will phone you or leave your a text message?
