Has anyone used LinkedIn premium for finding jobs? Did it expose you to more recruiters/hiring managers? And most importantly, can people besides recruiters see that you are using it (like...current coworkers)?

I'm a software developer and it seems that everyone is hiring contract to hire. Recruiters keep feeding me the line that this is standard practice and to determine if I'm a good "technical fit," but I'm wary. Are contract to hires ever a good place to be in?

I applied to an ad for a contract position with an organization in my city that I've wanting to learn more about. So far I've had one positive phone interview with the project manager, but the more I deal with the recruiter, the more I'm concerned about the firm using deceptive methods. Is it worth it to call up the headquarters of this firm to voice my concerns?

Weird situation to be in: I am interviewing for jobs, and i'm uncomfortable with asking for more money than i earn right now, because i already feel i'm being overpaid. Complication: i'm working with a recruiter who knows my current income, and who is himself remunerated based on a percentage of the income any new employer offers me.
