20 years ago, at a concert in Toronto, Etta James sang a song that my partner fell in love with. To the best of her recollection it had the lyric, "why was was I born green, instead of blue -like everybody else?" I've googled around but can't narrow my results down to anything useful.
Does anyone know what the title of this song might be and if there is a recording of it available?

What connection kit and software do you recommend for amp modeling and recording guitar on iOS? I'd like to plug the guitar into the connector, pick an amp, record stuff, then get the audio files either off the device or into other apps for mixing.

RecordingFilter: I got the idea of using my new Android phone to make a live recording. I just used the Voice Recorder app that came on the phone. The resulting recording is obviously pretty low quality, but not completely terrible. How can I find ways to make future smartphone recordings sound better?

Starting a podcast (spoken word) and suddenly have the opportunity to interview the exact people I really shouldn't be "practicing" on. I'm a radiophile, want decent sound, but have no time to learn the technical side of sound recording before my interviews in a few days. Can I spend a little up front to make decent sound or do I just need to spend more?

I have some old cassette tapes of African music made by my in-laws who were missionaries the in the 1960s. A friend transferred the reel-to-reel recordings to cassette. Backwards. My in-laws didn't play the tapes until much later, and the original reels were overwritten by then. Any ideas on the easiest way to restore the music?

We want to record students giving presentations and give them a copy of the video afterwards for later review. The camera would be fixed in some way to the room (either to the ceiling or one of the walls) and connected to a computer where the recording would be done. What kind of camera would work? Can this be done on the cheap (as in not in the thousands of dollars)? If not, what alternatives exist?
