Where do pro broadcast audio professionals buy and sell their gear? I'm looking for a specific portable recorder (Sound Devices 788t) and would like to know if there's a board or online community for people in the industry to buy and sell gear.

Advice on a portable digital recording device. Mostly for recording phone interviews (and not for broadcast), but I'd like something easy to mic, Mac compatible, and not overly complicated or fussy. (Not the first time asked, I know, but the state of the art does change so fast.) [more inside]

Simple sound recorder. I use Win 2000, and need a simple Sound Recorder that will let me easily overwrite a permanent WAV file with new audio from the microphone as needed. I'm having trouble finding a good replacement. [more inside]

Yet another voice recorder question: I suddenly have potential access to a reasonable grant (theoretical max. $1000) to purchase a digital voice recorder. I'll be using it primarily for interviews, although recording focus groups are a possibility. I'd like it to be Mac compatible, and hopefully mountable without drivers, so I can just drag the files off of it onto my hard drive. [more inside]
