And remember: external forces are never to blame.

I've always thought King Missile's Failure was a pretty good depiction of the kind of intrusive, self-defeating thoughts that characterize depression. The recent FPP'd game Depression Quest does something similar. What are some other works that are reminiscent of the experience of having depression or another mental illness (as opposed to depicting characters with the illness?)

Unchaotic art

I've always been a fan of chaotic and unordered "messy" art. I'd like to appreciate art that goes the other direction. Who are some excellent artists (dead artists are good, but living people are better) that practice an ordered, symmetrical, or organized quality? Photos, paintings, drawings, any art is fine - even examples of music, or poetry and plays are desirable.

NYC Galleries Recommendation for 12/14/04 11:30-5:30, 12/15/04 to 12:00p

NYC Galleries Tomorrow? Taking the early Accela from Boston, getting into Penn Station at 11:30. Hitting the new MOMA for some art absorbtion - but are there other things / galleries that I should hit before the Pixies show? I'm meeting up with a friend @ 5:30 who's treating me to the concert. I'll be staying through the next noon, so that's also an option for hunting.
