Last.fm used to keep an amazing, long list of "similar tracks" for every song. As of a year or two ago, their godawful new interface only shows four. Can full lists still somehow be generated somewhere, and if so where/how? [more inside]
I'm in need of some new additions to my kitchen dancing playlists. Who should I be listening to? [more inside]
Which other songs would you recommend for someone who loves 7/11 by Beyoncé and Yoga by Janelle Monae? [more inside]
Can anyone recommend songs similar to (and possibly less "mainstreamy"* than) Eurythmics' Julia? [more inside]
I don't really like hip hop (with the exception of older stuff like RUN DMC and Beastie Boys). However, once in a while I come across some tracks that I really enjoy, like these two songs by Wiley and this one by Azaelia Banks. Any other artists / tracks with a similar vibe that I should be listening to? [more inside]
A close friend and I are embarking on a collegiate radio adventure through the wrist-slittingly fun world of teenage problems and angst. We're developing a list of musical sub-themes and came to one we like in theory but don't have much material for: Eating Disorders! Does anyone know of any (any) any (any) songs about Eating Disorders? Please share!
Song name! I can't remember practically anything about a song except that it was sung by a woman, say alto range, and contains the words "sing a lovely song" sung such that "sing" was held for longer than any other syllable in that phrase and "love" was sharply higher than any other note in the phrase, and I think held for less time than "a", "ly" and "song", "song" being held but not for as long as "sing". I realize that's not much to go on, but maybe someone has an idea? Also, I might be wrong about it being sung by a woman, and possibly everything else.
