What is the best Mac personal finance software? I need recommendations from the Thoughtful on a personal finance software package for Macs that is actually worth the investment and the time taken to learn and use.
And yes, I know this has been asked at least a couple of times before, but the last related query I see is from 2008. [more inside]

Open source requirements, testing and defect tracking software: any of you have good/bad/middling experience with web-based tools that offer a good alternative to ($$$) TestDirector or its ilk? Preferred platform would be Windows.

I want a utility (freeware?) which will scan an NCSA extended logfile and create a simple report on which referrers generated how many sales transactions.

I need a CMS recommendation. I've been asked to find and set up a suitable content management system to be used by software and hardware developers for a project here at work. It needs to have good CVS and bug tracking modules. [mi] [more inside]

I have two versions of a largeish text file, one a slightly modified version of the other. Is there any app I can run in Xp that would report the differences between the two on a line-to-line basis? Could it also do the same for a whole mess of corresponding text files within a large directory structure?

My brother would like to do some recording (acoustic guitar mainly, maybe other things) at home and is looking for recording software for OS X. The ideal price would be $500 or under, but it should be something decent rather than just cheap. He "doesn't need pre-recorded loops, etc, so [he] figure[s] GarageBand isn't what [he's] looking for." Any recommendations? [more inside]

Digital Camcorder / Digital Video Camera: Looking for a quality review/comparison site. Also, any recommendations? Below $1000, primarily automatic over manual, recording family indoor (some children's sports). Thoughts on simple video editing software to DVD, method of transfer, anything else I should keep in mind?

I'm a college student, and I was looking for a (cheap) money management software package to manage my loans, credit card, and income from work. Does anyone know of a cheap one that works well? I was looking at Quicken, but that's 80 bucks and seems like overkill.
