Bad timing for a new relationship?

Has anyone ever pulled out a "goodbye- hope to see you in a couple of years"? and actually reunite after that? I recently became divorced. (since last May). About 2 months ago, an ex-girlfriend contacted me via FB. We had not seen or talked to each other in about 15 years or more….It turns out she is going thru divorce as well. Fairly similar timelines. So we agreed to have coffee together. I guess there was a genuine attraction that did not die in all these years. We have become quite emotionally involved, pretty fast, in these last 2 months.
In the past weeks, some friction and discussions have started to appear. I can clearly see that most of these issues are triggered by past stuff, not necessarily issues related to her, but more like "past baggage".
I know intuitively that I should heal and fix all my past issues before
jumping into a new one. And definitely after a divorce!! So, I actually started attending therapy sessions about a month ago. I have a strong feeling that I really need to do this- deal with all my issues, otherwise I may certainly start engaging in the same (unhealthy) patterns.

So I have 2 choices:
a) stop seeing her altogether. Say "goodbye- and hopefully in one or two
years, we'll both be in a better emotional state. I'll look for you"
[BTW, has anyone ever pulled a stunt like this? or heard of a couple who did? Does it work? - I am afraid to loose her, actually, but I need to
heal myself first]
or
b) remain as "friends" -absolutely nothing more-. She would definitely
help me get thru this rough patch as a friend…and I could help her as well, But not really sure if I need to do this alone, or if having her present in my life will interfere.

As always, appealing to this great community to give me insight into
my options…advice, suggestions, all welcome.

Can I get an entry-level job in D.C.?

Do I have a chance of making it in D.C.? I'm a recent college grad with no political resume and a pretty meager amount of work experience, but I'm smart, have great references/recommendations, and am not particularly picky about where I work. Like most of my ilk (recent liberal arts college grads) I'm a little worried about hurling myself into a competitive job market, and I realize that D.C. is one of the most competitive out there for young professionals. I'd ultimately like to go to graduate school for political science, but my undergraduate didn't have majors, so besides having performed well academically I don't have much there to leverage into a job. My ultimate career goal is to become a foreign service officer, but for the time being I'm interested in working at other federal agencies (DHS, for example), nonprofits, or think tanks. Basically, any entry-level position that's even remotely related to public policy is what I'm looking for, so I can build up a resume and gain some real experience before I head out for more school in a year or two.

I have enough money saved up to move and live for three months. This is a pretty big gamble for me (since I'd be using up all my savings), so I figured I'd pick the hive mind for my chances. Am I being hopelessly naive in thinking I'll find a job as a secretary at a federal agency or nonprofit? If all goes according to plan I'll be out there within a month, and I've heard that when the interns leave, those sorts of things tend to open up. Is it true?

How to disable the most-visited pages function when opening a new tab in Chrome

Is it possible to disable the "most visited / recent history" tab in the Google Chrome browser? I can set Chrome so that it loads a blank page on startup, but when opening a tab it displays all my most visited sites. This inspired one very embarrassing moment when a friend unconsciously CTRL-Tabbed and saw a glaring menu of my darkest internet meanderings. Several sites claim to be able to solve this but no instructions I have yet followed have made any difference.

Recent jazz standards?

What are the recent jazz standards? Prototypically, jazz standards are from the '40s—let's guess the median is somewhere around 1945 and the standard deviation is 15 years—but the canon is certainly not closed, as shown by, say, 'Birdland' (1977). What else has become really widely known and played, in that time frame or since? Please cite a few performers to justify your claim. Bonus points if they're in different styles or decades.
