I see this added to the ends of sentences a lot lately, generally as an expression of exasperated disbelief. As in, "You think that comment was appropriate? Really?"
Is this something that came from a popular TV show or famous person? Or did it just start showing up a lot on Metafilter for no real reason. In other words, what's up with the current craze for ending a sentence with an incredulous "really?"
