How can I become a better and more prolific reader?

How can I become a better and more prolific reader? I don't have a problem with the idea of reading. I love it, as a matter of fact. I'm crazy about books, I collect them, and I enjoy them. However, I don't read nearly as much as I want to, or need to. Ideally, I'd love to read a book every week or two. It doesn't come close to that these days. I think about reading and how I enjoy the idea of reading more than I actually read. [more inside]
