So last night I upgraded my iPad2 to iOS5 and discovered that my favorite e-book reader app, Stanza,
doesn't work anymore. The ´net seems to think it will no longer be developed, so now I need to find a new reader. Dropbox connection is essential. I have (just now) settled on Bluefire, which is OK but laggy compared to Stanza. Any better suggestions for e-book reader apps for iPad2?

I am in the process of preparing to move to London for the next four years to attend college. As I have sold off a large portion of my beloved library, I don't want to find myself doing the same exercise in 4.5 years time when I return to the US.
Coming late to the ebook reader dance, I ask you which of these two will be the better choice in light of current capabilities (and in addition to the fact that I want a reader to buy and read books, extras do not figure into the equation) - the Kindle or the Nook?

Suppose I'm thinking of purchasing an e-book reader (or an iPad/tablet), and my primary hesitation is that I don't want to buy a bunch of e-books in a format that (1) will someday be useless or unreadable or (2) will lock me into a specific brand of hardware forever. What do I need to know?

How do you like your kindle? Knowing what you know now, would you buy it again? How can I make a kindle/ebook experience better?

I'm looking for the best E-Book Reader that will easily highlight the text. I'm in grad school and am an inveterate highlighter. I can't seem to find a review discussing which reader is best at this feature - Amazon Kindle, Sony Daily, or B&N nook?

What would you recommend for a compact device that reads pdfs? I've recently started train commuting and have 30 minutes on a regular basis to read. There are quite a few large pdfs that I read. I've been using a PSP but it doesn't work well. I'm currently looking at an ipod touch, eee PC, Aspire One, Nokia n800 and would consider anything else that people recommend. ( more inside )

Is there an e-book reader that comfortably displays PDFs made by scanning type (i.e., PDFs that are images and don't have plain text data)?

I'm interested in getting an e-book reader. The only two readers that seem to have a following are the
Sony e-reader and the
Kindle. Problem is, I don't want to spend anywhere
near the price of those two. Is there anything you can recommend for a lot less money, say under $100 US?

I've been lusting after the
iRex iLiad for a year... and I'm starting law school in the fall. I'm trying to convince myself that I can use it for my reading for class (as well as my recreational reading). Anyone have one and want to share experiences?
