I ate some sort of multi-layered, rainbow Jell-O-like snack once. What was it? Where can I find it in Boston or NYC?

I'm making a Rainbow-themed playlist for my boyfriend. Could you recommend colour-themed songs? I'm doing fine for "Reds" and "Blues." It's the Indigos and Violets (or Purples) and Oranges and Yellows (and the non-rainbowy colours, like Browns and Whites and Blacks) that are tripping me up.

We're having a rainbow-themed family reunion and I'd like to keep people moving with games. So far I've come up with RED Rover and a WHITE elephant. What other games have a color in the title?

[PhysicsFilter] Yesterday I saw what appeared to be an upside-down rainbow, in a part of the sky nearish the sun, but only when I was wearing my polarized sunglasses. This goes against everything I know about rainbows. Can someone explain?

In the spirit of our local library's
summer reading program, we've done a similar program of our own (since our children flew through the initial 1000 minutes of the library program). Help me find an appropriate educational-yet-awesome reward to give them for completing our contest!

Please suggest elegant graphic/web/web-viewable designs featuring rainbows or rainbow-like/themed elements to inspire me. I'm working on a site for an organization with "Rainbow" in the name, and am having a hard time avoiding both hokeyness (on one end) and austerity (as I overcompensate).

In the continuum of visible-light colors that makes a rainbow, we have red, orange, ... blue, indigo, and violet. But aestheticists tend to join the two ends together to make a "color wheel". They use this to predict pairs, trios, or quads of colors that are symmetrically placed in the wheel and therefore look nice or bad together. But, why does the continuum map to a circle at all?
