Help me identify a radio comedy about drunk children at a holiday party. About three or four years ago, I was listening to the radio during the holiday season (Nov-Dec), and I heard the funniest (fictional) story I've ever heard, and have never been able to locate the source. [more inside]
Looking for a talk radio station that won't agitate me to bits, nor put me to sleep. Special snowflake details inside. Would wildly prefer radio as opposed to podcasts, TED talks, etc., as I'm at work, and sometimes I'm in the middle of something and I can't tear myself away to change the podcast, etc. [more inside]

I need to record two people at the same time. I can't follow them around with a boom mic and I don't want them to be attached at the hip with a splitter to one recorder plus 2 lapel mics. How do I record two people, walking around, talking to each other? Do I need two recorders? AND if I have two recorders, how much of a pain will it be to edit the material/will it sound weird? How is this normally done? It is for the radio. [more inside]
I'm lookingAH... for a comedy bitAH... where every wordAh... ended with an exagerrated 'AH' soundAH.
A few months ago while listening to XM Radio's Raw Dog Comedy channel, I heard an oddly funny monologue that I'm trying to locate. I can't remember what the subject was, but it was a studio recording of a lone male voice, and every sentence ended with a dragged-out "ah" sound. For instance, he might say "Four score and seven years agoAH! Our fathers brought forthAH..." and on and on. I know this isn't much to go on but I'm hoping someone will recognize the very unique sound of this piece and will point me to it.
I like eclectic adult alternative/contemporary radio such as The World Cafe. I am using DAR.fm to record audio streams, but The World Cafe does not unfortunately provide song titles in its streams, making it hard to organize shows using DAR. Does anyone have suggestions of other, similar radio programs, preferably ones where the audio stream provides song information?

The interviewer was talking to a writer for the Bloomberg magazine. Any pointers. (I have searched) Thanks!

Recently the power company installed a new power meter in my home with a radio transmitter, which sends out a signal that meter-readers can pick up outside the house without having to come in and look at it directly. Here's the problem: I use a Tivoli PAL radio as my computer speaker (it's got an AUX jack and it's a great little device). But since the installation, it "chirps" every 30 seconds or so, presumably when the signal from the meter is broadcast. What can I do to stop this or shield my speaker? [more inside]

This is definitely a long shot, but I'm looking for a weird reggae-ish song I heard on a radio a few months ago. The only things I remember about it are that it was pretty long, and the lyrics included something about "a piece of leg" and taking off your clothes. [more inside]

What was that music webapp I had on my iPod? Help me remember the site I had saved to my homescreen a while ago. I'm fairly sure it was a webapp and not a proper app. I seem to remember the name for the icon was shortened to a two-letter acronym; I thought it was DI for digitalinspiration.com but googling that shows I was wrong. I'll try to describe it anyway: the app had a series of square, colourful icons down the left-hand side, not unlike the style to the iTunes gift card drawings. Each icon represented a category; I definately remember 'lounge', and the others were mostly dance/electronic music related genres like house, groove etc. probably hip-hop stuff too. Definately a cool and groovy site.

Looking for Radio Humbug: On every major holiday, but most especially Christmas, I'm annoyed that the radio broadcasts I habitually listen to--mostly NPR, BBC world service--are overtaken by special holiday content, which is usually religious and sappy. Can anyone recommend a radio station to listen to on internet stream on these holidays (talk, not music) that will present news, interviews, documentaries and the like? I could do podcasts, but I much prefer live streaming. Necessarily in English. Most any sort of content or geographic focus would be of interest, so long as there's no shouting, minimal or no religion, no political extremism.
