Audio enhancement question

What are the best tricks, using an audio program like Audacity, for improving a recording of a phone interview where the other guy sounds really quiet, but your voice is loud? What compression/decibal settings are typically best, and what other effects will bring the quiet voice up -- perhaps without making the loud voice much louder? [more inside]

Online glossary of radio news broadcast terminology?

Anyone know of a good online glossary of radio news broadcast terminology...differentiating between expressions like "voice," a "cut," etc.? I'm a little rusty and need a refresher.
