SongFilter: the line "symphony of roses" is all I could remember, and I don't remember the station on the radio I heard it on, but it was an indie station, I think. It was just on in the car and Google is failing me entirely. Anyone familiar?

Please help me identify this sort-of-instrumental club song with a Latin flavor that was huge on NYC radio in the mid-to-late nineties. More details inside.

This is definitely a long shot, but I'm looking for a weird reggae-ish song I heard on a radio a few months ago. The only things I remember about it are that it was pretty long, and the lyrics included something about "a piece of leg" and taking off your clothes.

Help my father identify two songs he recorded off the radio in the late 80's / early 90's. One is bluegrass and the other is alternative rock.

Help sought in identifying the song. Trip-hoppy, moody backing track with a male spoken sample saying: "Don't cry. You're gonna be a big man someday. This is a new dawn!"

What's this song? It was on US Top 40 radio in the late 80s. It's a mashup sorta thingie of musical styles, starting out with a big band playing "In the Mood" and moving forward through different popular music styles to the modern day. IIRC at the very end there is a brief return to a little bit of In the Mood.

A close friend and I are embarking on a collegiate radio adventure through the wrist-slittingly fun world of teenage problems and angst. We're developing a list of musical sub-themes and came to one we like in theory but don't have much material for: Eating Disorders! Does anyone know of any (any) any (any) songs about Eating Disorders? Please share!

Is there a website that categorizes songs by mood or subject? Searching iTunes for title words and hoping the title then corresponds to the lyrics/mood doesn't always give the best results.

I once heard a radio program (probably on NPR or the BBC) about the song "Willow Weep for Me." They claimed it was an extraordinary song for two reasons: it was written by a woman (rare in 1932) and there was striking tempo change in the middle of the song. However, in most recordings, the musicians skip the tempo change. But on the show I listened to, they played a rare recoding that featured the change. I want that recording.

This American Life has at least a dozen instrumentals that they use over and over as background music. The Happy Flute Song, the Things Are Kind of Tense Song, and so on. I've really grown to like many of them, but I cannot identify any of them. Can TAL fans identify any of the standard music beds?
