I have a CentOS server with a directory of some MP3s. What is the easiest way to have a radio stream setup so I can listen to them at work or on my phone? I looked at Shoutcast and it seems perfect, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to randomly pick something from a directory of music instead of connecting to Winamp on a host machine.

Trying to find "internet radio station in a box". It is a audio CD set that includes sweeps, liners, and buildable station IDs. I had a bookmark for it until my laptop went up in flames, now I cant find the site to buy it from... Help?

Can anyone recommend a WinXP-friendly solution -- ideally shareware, freeware, or open source -- for automatically recording online radio streams such as shoutcast at pre-selected times, a few times a week? I currently use a WinAmp plugin that does recording manually, breaking the tracks up into individual mp3s, but I would like to automate the process for particular broadcasts.

Does anyone know a good linux/freebsd dsp plugin besides the sc_trans one from nullsoft? It does what I need, which is take a list of mp3s and shuffle them, but it won't play nice with id3 tags. [more inside]

I'm interested to find out if there are any (a) streaming radio stations or (b) mp3 blogs that focus on Icelandic music. [more inside]
