Help me find more great radio interviewers!

I will listen to any subject under the sun (radio or podcast) that has a great interviewer. Terry Gross rules this genre. Anyone else of this calibre I should know about?

Trying to jump the accent divide

One of our new IT vendors at work makes heavy use of an Indian workforce. Conference calls have become a challenge as we try to work through their accents. I recognize that I have a responsibility to do what I can to meet them halfway on the conversation. Are there podcasts, online radio streams, etc. that I can listen to where people from India are speaking in English so I can acclimate my ears to their peculiarities of their accents? [more inside]

Best Vehicle for Distributing Interviews

I conduct interviews and want the best distribution for them. They are occasionally broadcast on KBOO in Portland. I also have access to the Public Radio Exchange as well as Pacifica's "audioport". With those, I can offer these interviews for rebroadcast through affiliated radio stations throughout the country. [more inside]

How to talk good on the radio?–Speech exercises for average voices?

Speech therapists/radio presenters: I may have to do some podcast-type stuff for work. I don't have a great radio voice. It's thin and slightly regionally accented, and I talk quickly, mumble and (soberly) slur words a bunch. With attention and concentration I can correct these faults up to "average" level; but I'd like to be good at radio/podcast presentation. What further steps should I take? [more inside]

Music podcast with eclectic selection?

I like to listen to a wide variety of music: classical, rock, jazz, instrumental metal, folk, video game, rap — whatever catches my ear. I also like listening to podcasts. Unfortunately, most of the music podcasts I've seen only cover music in a single genre, often with an emphasis on newer music. I'd like to find a podcast that a) spans genres and eras in a single show, and b) isn't afraid to play popular music. Does such a podcast exist? Super bonus points if there's some commentary about history and context, so that I can learn something while I listen. [more inside]

Cancelled show on NPR...NAME?!

Last year or so, I listened to a radio show on NPR that aired. The basic premise of the show (I think) was very similar to This American Life and was an eclectic mix of interviews of regular old folks, to talking about issues related to living life in general. One of the episodes dealt with two sisters who had run away and they told their story through a series of vignettes about their experiences. Another episode (I think) was an interview of siblings who are gay. The show was only about an hour long each week, but ended up being cancelled due to $$ issues (it's not News & Notes or Day to Day, I've already checked). I'm trying to figure out what the show was!! Any ideas? It was a very grassroots-ey type, low-budget, etc. Thanks MeFi!

TAL without the annoying bits. And possibly in Spanish.

Storytelling, deep news stories, themed narratives: Podcasts in this vein wanted. Think "This American Life" but not always as funny or quirky, or the longer news stories on NPR that use the lens of a smaller story-within-a-story. Artsy takes on news also welcome. In addition, which Latino podcasts (in the same general format) have caught your ear? [more inside]
