I'm about to sign a lease on a commercial space that has radiator heating. The landlord wants us to pay one third of the heating costs for the building, as the space takes up the ground floor of a three story building.
At first this seemed logical to me, then I thought about it a bit...

I just replaced the radiator on my 2002 Ford Crown Victoria. I filled the coolant reservoir to the cold fill line. Now, if I let the car warm up for 10 minutes, coolant starts leaking out from under the upper radiator hose where it meets the radiator. The hose looks solid, and the hose clamp is on pretty tight so I assume the pressure is just getting really high. Also, if I open up the coolant reservoir cap, liquid coolant starts coming out, not steam. The coolant isn't even that hot. I can stop the radiator hose leak by reducing the amount of coolant in the reservoir, but the coolant level needs to be way way below the cold fill line for that. What is going on? What should I do?

I live in an old apartment with radiators. Pipe in kitchen (radiator has been removed, heated pipe remains) has a leaky valve that smells awful. Can someone take a look at these pictures and tell me if there is anything I can do to cover the leaky bit and reduce the smell?

My radiator fan won't kick on when the car gets hot. I replaced the fusible link and let the car idle for awhile. After 15 minutes or so, the fusible link blew... Need specific advice on how to find the short circuit.

2006 Volvo S60's radiator has gigantic hole incurred when driving over big rock (thanks, teenage daughter!), most fluid slowly leaked out over the course of a week. Local mechanic said it's a Volvo-shop fix, but the dealer is 12 miles away and the coolant tank is almost empty.
Is it safe to drive to the shop? I really don't want to be stuck on 95 with an unfixable radiator (and then having to call AAA).

DIY cat bed on the radiator. Is it safe to build a platform on top of the cast-iron steam radiator for my cat to sit/lie on? If so, what materials, methods, etc should I use?

I found a relative bargain on a super comfortable rattan couch. It's still real expensive, but, at half price, it's conceivably within my splurge budget. And I love the couch.
The problem is it's going in a room with a steam-powered radiator, and will sit quite close to that radiator. And someone knowledgable tells me that the moist heat of a radiator will ruin (or at least hasten the demise of) the rattan. I'd hate to see that happen, particularly at this price!
