Should I quit grad school? Or would it be "the worst mistake of my life" as many feel and/or have told me. Should I suck it up/grow up? Or is it as bad as it seems?

I got a job six months ago as a technical recruiter for a third-party contractor whose field techs replace parts for warranty customers. It's a family business with about a dozen employees in the office. Things are hinky there. Please help me understand what's going on and make a decision. Sorry, but it's very long.

I feel like I'm in career purgatory, and it's a windowless, stuffy call center. I also don't want to throw away over 2 years of tenure and wonder if I should just learn to deal. TL;DR details and out-loud thinking inside.

I'm thinking about quitting my job, not because I hate it (in fact I love what I'm doing). I would quit to take time to rest and recover.
The questions: Are the consequences worth it, or should I treat this as an impulsive escape fantasy?
Tried this yourself? Did you have the positive outcomes you had hoped for? Any suggestions or insight?

I am currently an Americorps VISTA member and I do not like my assignment. This is a year-long commitment, and I have @7 months left to serve. VISTA members work full-time but are paid very little because the position is kind of a cross between a volunteer position and a job. The reason for taking a VISTA position, therefore, is not the pay, but rather the job experience and the opportunity to do meaningful work to help the poor. Unfortunately, I am not getting much of that experience or doing much of that work, and I am disrespected to boot.

I've been at my tiny non-profit for over three years. Last summer I got a new boss who's changed the workplace from a fairly egalitarian, self-managed environment to an autocratic, micro-managed one. For instance, I used to have a modicum of creative control over the media and newsletter I produced and now I have none. Folks keep saying I should talk to her but she's very dominant and she informed me the first week she came on the job that she's a micro-manager.
I'm not paid well enough to stay if I'm not enjoying myself, but I am highly invested in the people we serve and keep imagining that maybe I'll adjust and she'll chill and we'll be able to go back to "the way it was".
Am I hoping against hope? Anyone been to the other side?

I took a temporary night job that I thought would be easy. I worked 2 nights, but quickly found it is horrible. Specifically it involves a lot of manual labor that I wasn't expecting and I am in pain and too exhausted to work my day job. I want to quit now and save my body, rather than give my two weeks. I don't care about the reference, but will I see a paycheck in the mail?

I am on the verge of leaving my job at a large game company (the largest) in order to start work elsewhere. Our annual bonus (based on company performance over the last year, expected to be quite good this year) isn't issued till June 1st. I am wondering-- if I give notice and leave before June 1st, am I still entitled to this bonus? How can I find out without potentially spilling the beans that I'm leaving? (I haven't told my manager yet.) Also, if I give 2 weeks notice in such a way that my last day is after June 1st, can the company terminate me in less than 2 weeks so that I don't get my bonus? (In other words if I want to be absolutely sure of collecting my bonus, would it be safest to not give notice at all until June 1st? Assuming I can delay my start date at the new place that long...)
