I got a job six months ago as a technical recruiter for a third-party contractor whose field techs replace parts for warranty customers. It's a family business with about a dozen employees in the office. Things are hinky there. Please help me understand what's going on and make a decision. Sorry, but it's very long.

I feel like I'm in career purgatory, and it's a windowless, stuffy call center. I also don't want to throw away over 2 years of tenure and wonder if I should just learn to deal. TL;DR details and out-loud thinking inside.

I hate my job, but it pays me well. Seriously, I make more than $130k, have great benefits (paid health insurance, 4 weeks vacation etc). I am very lucky to have landed this position. Without divulging too much more, lets just say that the industry I am in, it won't happen again. I will likely make 35% less anywhere else.
So, I know that no one can truly answer this but me, but am I crazy for wanting to just walk away from it if I truly dislike it?

I am currently an Americorps VISTA member and I do not like my assignment. This is a year-long commitment, and I have @7 months left to serve. VISTA members work full-time but are paid very little because the position is kind of a cross between a volunteer position and a job. The reason for taking a VISTA position, therefore, is not the pay, but rather the job experience and the opportunity to do meaningful work to help the poor. Unfortunately, I am not getting much of that experience or doing much of that work, and I am disrespected to boot.

I took a temporary night job that I thought would be easy. I worked 2 nights, but quickly found it is horrible. Specifically it involves a lot of manual labor that I wasn't expecting and I am in pain and too exhausted to work my day job. I want to quit now and save my body, rather than give my two weeks. I don't care about the reference, but will I see a paycheck in the mail?

Let's say that someone was leaving their job. They're leaving amicably and of their own volition. They wish no ill will on their soon-to-be former employer, but they would like to leave their workstation as clean as the day they first arrived. We should note here that this person does not have Admin access to this machine, so installable options (like
Window Washer) are probably out of the question. Any suggestions?
