Where can I buy specialty grains in Vienna during the upcoming holiday season? I will be in Slovenija and Austria over Christmas/New Year's this year, and would like to buy some steel-cut oats and quinoa. Can anyone speak decisively to whether there are shops where a) these items are sold, and b) if they will be open around the holidays?
(Specifically I will be in Ljubljana and Stara Fužina in Slovenija, and then Hallstatt and Vienna in Austria, but I'm guessing that Vienna will be the best bet.)

Quinoa, Tuna, Salmon - can I eat it?

I left a mixture of boiled quinoa, canned tuna and canned salmon out over night. Can I still eat it? I boiled about a half cup of quinoa with powdered vegetable broth yesterday at lunch time, then mixed in a can of tuna and two cans of salmon. I put the mixture in a covered, unsealed Tupperware container, but forgot to put that in the fridge.

Data points:
Mixture was left unrefrigerated for ~20 hours
This is at my office, and no one other than I has been in my office for at least a week (co-workers are on vacation, working at home, or out sick)
If I decide to eat it, I'll microwave it first, heating it up thoroughly

So, can I eat it?

Bittman Recipe Reminder

Can someone help me remember a recipe from Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything Vegetarian? I am away from my apartment, and I want to make the Sweet Potato and Qunioa salad recipe from How to Cook Everything Vegetarian. I'm pretty sure it's in the salads section.

I just need a refresher on the more subtle ingredients and method. If someone could put a bare-bones version of the recipe up, I would be most appreciative. Gracias!

hope this is ok legal-wise

Rinsing quinoa: is it really necessary? I haven't found a strainer dense enough that the quinoa doesn't get stuck in it to the point that rinsing it out is a real pain. Also, I often don't rinse it, and I don't notice any difference. Is there something inherently dirty about quinoa? I mean, it's still getting sterilized by boiling water, right? Why rinse quinoa but not rice, bulgur, etc.?

Quinoa recipes

Tasty dishes I can cook with quinoa? Every time I eat quinoa I tell myself I have to learn to cook with it. I've finally bought some, but I don't know where to start. What are your favourite recipes?
