I have 14 mp4 files, all downloaded from the same FTP site at the same time. 6 of them don't work in QuickTime, 8 of them do. It is not the files themselves, it's something to do with those files PLUS my system. Help me figure out what, please, because I am not that tech-savvy, and because I'm on a deadline.

We're using iPads for users to post videos directly to our Wordpress site through the official Wordpress app. The videos are being recorded on the iPads, and posted through the app's media upload feature. When we do this through the HTML4 options (which uses embed) there are no controls to start the video playing. When we do this through HTML5 the videos are rotated 90 degrees. Any ideas what's causing this video weirdness and how to fix it?

Here's one for the hive mind: I need to print out all of the frames of a Quicktime movie file (on a Mac), each one on a separate piece of paper. I'm not remembering an obvious way to do this, and my Google-fu is coming up empty. Any ideas?

I recently had to reinstall Windows (XP) on my PC to kill some malware. Subsequently, I reinstalled Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9, which I've been using for the last couple of years on this machine. Today I went to open one of my video edits for the first time... but Vegas chokes on it. Can you help me figure out why? Error log after the jump.

When I take screenshots on my mac and paste them into a power point presentation I can see them, but anyone I send the ppt to gets no pictures, just a quicktime decompressor message. Images do render to a pdf. This never used to happen to me on my last powerbook. Are there settings that I can change? Thanks

I am considering buying "Dragon" voice to text software. Many of the audio files I want it to convert, however, are in Quicktime. Neither the packaging or the website (that I could find) say whether it will convert non-Microsoft compatible audio files. Does anybody know?

I need to convert a Quicktime movie to one single JPEG image that contains every frame of the movie. So you'd see each frame as a tiny image and there'd be thousands of little images in this one JPEG.
I've done this before, and I have the image, but I just cannot find it again!
This would be for the mac. Thanks

In Windows Vista, is there a combination of software and settings that will let my Dad play all the media files he wants without further difficulty? I want to set up my Dad's new computer, which runs Vista Home Premium, so that it runs media embedded in web pages, runs standalone files too, and doesn't break Vista's Aero interface. He's not a computer expert, so I want media of all common types to Just Work
