How can I get Quicksilver to keep track of files that have moved? [more inside]

I'm running OS X 10.4.10 on an Intel iMac. I've never had any troubles until about a week ago, but now every once in a while, both Gmail Notifier and Quicksilver quit for no good reason. The icons in the menu bar disappear and I have to restart both of them. This sometimes happens after I wake my computer up from Sleep mode, other times it happens while I'm working on the computer. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

What launcher do you use? Quicksilver for Mac OS X seems to cause some kind of conflict so I'm axing it.
