Quickbooks Question

Is there any way to set up a user on Quickbooks so that she can only view certain years? I see how to restrict her from editing those years but I don't want her to be able to see anything before 2014. I'm using Quickbooks Pro 2012.

Can't open Quick Books!.......Help!

While on vacation a month, or so, ago my laptop froze up & I was stuck with a blue screen resulting in a trip to the local computer repair shop yet all was well by the next day. Ever since then, however, it's been getting progressively harder and taking longer to open my QuickBooks program but it always seemed to open......until today. After repeated reboots I continue to get a "QuickBooks has stopped working" message. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! A.

Quickbooks for Mac - should I use Online Banking?

I run a one-person S Corporation in California, and am using Quickbooks 2012 on a Mac. My current bookkeeper (as well as a previous one) suggested I not use Online Banking to automatically import transactions from my bank and credit cards, saying there's a lot of potential for it to mess things up. My main question: should I avoid Quickbooks for Mac's online banking? What if I upgrade to the 2015 Mac version - does it handle such things better? [more inside]

Quickbooks - Is this really how we do things?

My friend's computer died. I was able to get most of his files off by plugging his hard drive into my computer. Except for Quickbooks - because his backup was a little old. I remember from the last time that trying to grab the current file didn't work. Really?

Un-registering my copy of Quickbooks 2012 so I can sell it.

I have a copy of Quickbooks 2012 for Mac that I just put up for sale on ebay. (The program just wasn't for me.) I am getting a number of inquiries from interested bidders about the transfer of the license of the software. I do not recall if I ever officially registered the software after i installed it or not. I played around with it for a little bit and decided it wasn't for me. I uninstalled the software and it has sat in a box until I put it up today. How do I go about ensuring that the software and license have my info removed so that the winning bidder can install it on their computer with little to no hassle? The Intuit/Quickbooks website offers a lot of contradictory information. Much thanks.

Restricting computer account access and using Quickbooks.

My friend has a small taxi business that uses Quickbooks. He has a primary computer that he and his dispatchers use when he is not there. He's having problems with his dispatchers downloading spyware/viruses, etc. I help him out with IT needs and suggested having a restricted account for his dispatchers. The problem is that QBs requires admin access to run. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this? The computer is running WindowsXP Pro.

Need accounting software design with IT consulting in mind

I've been struggling to find accounting software, online or PC/Mac based (either will do) that is suitable for a computer consulting practice. I need to be able to handle the typical basic things done by QuickBooks, like invoicing and estimates, simple A/R and A/P reports, etc. But that isn't enough. I need to manage multiple bill rates on a per consultant/per customer/per job or work order basis. QuickBooks doesn't do that, and I've tried hard to find out how to make that work. Any advice, hive mind?
