Can you mix chlorine with juice mix without any problems?

We are creating a tablet that purifies water and delivers a nutritious "juice". However we are designers, not chemists, and we need some basic guidance. BioLogic washer - how does it work?

At some trade show recently, Whirlpool showed a prototype washer called BioLogic that ("if feasible") relies on hydroponic plants to purify and reuse the water [pdf, p17].
