YANMV, however, I am waiting on a call back from my vet and as I am impatient and prone to obsessive behavior, I shall ask the same of the hive to see the consensus. Should I be feeding my 4 1/2 month old puppy large breed puppy food? Details inside.

My puppy barks at me if he has too much energy, but he's been so humpy at the dog park that we can't stay long enough for him to burn it all off. Please help by recommending some training we could use!

My husband and I adopted a shelter dog last week, who we absolutely adore. When we were looking at her I asked one of the workers if they knew what kind of dog she was and they said no....just a mutt. My curiosity is getting the best of me though, and I would like to see if anyone might have some insight into what kind of breeds she might be.
Pictures are here 3 photos included and she is the bigger dog in photo 1. She's about 2 years old so I'm assuming she's fully grown, also slightly under weight. As for her height, her head is about hip height (I'm 5'5"). So please someone satisfy my curiosity about our newest baby and tell me what kind of pup could she be?

What advice do you have for raising a happy, healthy and sane Australian Cattle Dog? We just adopted an 5 & 1/2 month old ACD/mixed breed puppy from a shelter and for the most part, she is a dream come true. She does have many of the less-pleasant but totally normal puppy behaviors like mouthing/biting when playing. We were told that she is a little socially delayed because she had diarrhea when she was transfered in from a high-kill shelter a few weeks ago. Treating the diarrhea threw off her vaccination & spay schedule, so she hasn't had much of a chance to socialize with other dogs and people until now.

After doing tons of breed research and visiting shelters and rescues, I have finally found the write dog for me. I purchased a miniature dachshund from a reputable breeder in my hometown. She is only three weeks old right now, so I have five weeks to prepare for her arrival in my home. I do have a few questions that I hope Mefites can help me with.

When I was a kid in the late 80's/early 90's, my favorite booth at Hardee's had a big print of a drawing or painting of a beagle puppy eating a businessman. There were little legs sticking out of the puppy's mouth in suit pants and business-type shoes, kicking around. Can you help me find this again?

I have a beautiful, fun and energetic puppy. A Husky cross (we don't know what the other half is, but it must have been small). She loves to play games. Me and my partner alternate working from home during the day. What fun games can we play with her at home, indoors, that don't distract
too much from our work?

Over the next few weeks I'll be looking at litters of puppies, searching for the Right One, and I'm well aware that every single puppy in the damn universe is the Right One. The Cutest Ever. My puppy had a seizure (her second, I think), what questions do I need to ask the vet when I take her to the appointment on Friday?
Short version: 7month old mini daschund/min-pin mix, has had all shots, currently has worms (suspected tapeworm). Had a seizure when she was about 6 weeks but the vet at the time said it was nothing to worry about. Second seizure happened this weekend, over 5 months later.
Internet research points to low blood sugar/crash as the most likely culprit but I want to be sure she's getting the right treatment. Other than describing both incidents to the new vet, I have no idea what to say during the appointment, or what questions I should make a point of asking?
(story/details on both seizures below)

I am considering adopting a puppy from the pound. She's a 9-month old shepherd mix and she's extremely mellow and sweet (though still playful and fun). I have a concern, though, do to her breed and an apparent issue with her gait: I worry that she might have a problem with her hip socket or with possible hip dysplasia. Video below...
