I work in the head office for a hotel chain and know hotel managers all over North America. I travel quite a bit for work and because of my job, I stay free. Occasionally with my accumulated air miles I will go somewhere for a getaway and as long as I am careful to avoid peak times, I can usually stay at one of our facilities free as a professional courtesy. If the room is going to be empty, I feel no guilt at hanging my hat there for a night or two.
Often I invite someone along for company and to share in my perk. The problem is when someone invites someone else along. And occasionally that someone invites someone else along as well.

Help me set up a simple 100% caching forward proxy for my home. I dicked around with squid and then apache+mod_proxy/mod_cache yesterday afternoon, and while they proxy
beautifully, they don't seem to have much cache hit even on static content- almost or completely 0% cache hit.

Is Squid the Right Solution in a Windows Ecosystem? Recently, I was involved in giving a demonstration of some of our company's Web Services at a customer's site. Our services needed to go out and send HTTPS requests to other companies. Normally, external network access and hardening is left up to the customer. Between firewalls and politics, it was left to me to fix using one box in the DMZ. I had some experience maintaining a personal Squid proxy/cache (for sites such as Slashdot/Pandora), so I got approval to stand one up...

Need help with accessing a Pennsylvania court docket search from overseas.
I'm in Doha, Qatar, and for some reason can't access
this link here to search for court dockets in Pennsylvania - I can access
the rest of the site though. I haven't been able to find a proxy IP that seems to work here, which seems like a possible solution... any suggestions on getting through?

I want to watch Swedish television via the web, but much of the content is blocked geographically and available within Sweden only. I prefer free, but I'm willing to pay a nominal monthly/yearly amount. I did locate this
company during my Google search - I don't know if this service is overkill for my needs.
Is it safe to use a foreign proxy and would it be wise to install the proxy on a separate router? I have no idea how any of this works.
